Has anyone try penny auction?

I recently discovered some auction that sell bids,each bid only rise the price of the item by a penny.I have register an account and try the trial.The prize it offer look really tempting.Now i have realize that the site actually earn a lot from the bids that its user make.It seem like another form of gambling.What does mylotters think about it? Care to share your experience?
