What is that you check out in a Mylotter's profile?

Everybody does look into others profiles before making friendship here at MYLOT.Its very interesting to check out their age , country , s e x etc..etc..Sometimes we evencheck the discussions they have started , their replied discussions & the like.We even check when they joined & how much active they are here at MYLOT. But what impresses me most about thier profiles most is the slogan part.I love some of those which are very humourous , very educative & which always make me go back to check their profile again. What about you? What does you look when you view a profile?

Hello Baluyadav, Just looking at their discussions we can get to know their standards. But is it the only thing which you look to decide whether to make frineds with them or not?

well my main concern is how long have they been here and how many posts do they have... do they seem legit that they are not here just to try to get referrals and send out tons of site in PMs.... I think that is the most important, not age, location, whatnot... its really about the fact that they want to be here to have fun and great discussions. Happy mylotting!!

there were a lot of oldies when i got here last year and i don't see them around anymore. it's so hard to get to know new ones most specially if they are pretty closed minded and open ones when it comes to online money making.

Hello bookreadermom, I do get a lot of PMs with their referral links , but I ignore them.I dont mind keeping them in my friends list as you dont know they might change their opinion later.

When I look at a profile, I look first for how long they've been here, then discussions but I only skim those. Usually I'll see if there's any I've read or know I've responded to. I'll also check mine own discussions eventually to see if they added me after responding to a discussion of mine. The slogans are nice too, but I also look at their avatar. The number of discussions and responses they've done is also something I look at. I mostly go on how nice they are, etc... and how much they type, and interact with others here. I try to be fair on deciding who goes on my friends list and who doesn't. Sometimes I leave them "pending" for awhile, and other times I just send them right through! I'll even delete them from the get go... it all depends on my mood, their posts... and picture... and name...

I have come to noticed that my friends-request from other users had suddenly increased since my latest discussions and avatars. bu i have come to realized also that the new ones that i added where a bunch of perverts and giving me a pm instead of responding to the discussion itself..

I check it all mainly for compatibility issues! I'm an old guy and don't usually accept newbies because they have no history, I look at interests if they like head banger music or something else I don't unstamd! If they do then I wouldn't accept them! What's the point. tdemex

really sunny, why is that? checking the country and not other details? well, there are really some discussions that are not of internatinal interest like the American POlitics and other stuff like wall street or other financial issues in the US. i don't respond to them as i feel i might get a bad impression.

responses to some discussions may vary from country to country. for example i came across a discussion about banking which was from America. in which case i could not respond based upon banking system in India.

Using their slogan is the first thing I check out then where they are from and age then I check out how long they been a member and when the last time they logged into mylot and then their discussion they made and then check a few out..then maybe check what they responded too. I think it is always fun to see where everyone is from..and the differences in all our ages..but some of us have the same opinions and thoughts on things even though we are so different.

I first check out the discussions they started. If they are all about money making sites I don't accept their friendship request. Most of the time I just end up getting spam from people like that. But I always look and see if it says their gender. Sometimes I can't tell in people's discussions whether they are male or female. And I would hate to call someone a 'he', if in reality they are a 'she'.

Hi AmbiePam..I know what you are saying..I do that once...LOL..Poor was I corrected very quickly..Since then I do the same or if Im not sure than I just address them by their avatar name... I learned from my mistake real fast...Have a nice day..

hey, ambie, i don't why most newbies do that sort of thing. why can they just respond to topics relating to money making sites instead of making a new discussion of it, it' just clogging the discussion que, look at the situation now, almost all new topics are blocked..

Hello Ambiepam, It really bugs me when I see they are here just to get the referrals. There are so many here who just start discussions for referrals , exchange of referrals etc..etc. Does it make any difference about their S E X if their discussions are good?

When I get a friend request, I go check out the profile to see how many friends they have in the time since they first joined The Lot. If they have say 500 friends and they just joined a month ago, then I feel they are just collecting 'friends'. Then I check out the discussions they started and see if any appeal to me. At least half of them have to interest me enough to want to respond. If not, then they most likey will get denied. Interest catagory is another. I love pets, recycling, nature, camping...in otherwords, just about anything that has to do with the outdoors. It's those discussions I will definately respond to and most times have tons of input on. If your into politics and the like, don't expect me to respond to those discussions.

I am addicted to profiles I like to read what is at the top too and the country and then I move on to the layout in general. That says a lot about a user in my opinion. Then I often read the comments that their friends have left for them. I know that some profiles have music too and those that have something particular I have bookmarked.

I hope I've not answered yet this discussion. If I have, pardon me aite, for I might not realize it yet. For me, when I look at a lotter's profile, I like to look at where the member comes from. It's interesting to find out different friends from the different States, continents, countries and whatnot. It's so awesome to also check out their discussions; what they started on and stuff like that. I also like to look at a beautiful layout profile.

you know the majority of people hanging around in mylot are mostly from US, England, Europe, India, CHina and Philippines..there are some users from Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea but some of the asian lotters prefes to talk about ordinary lifes and sme users in india mostly talks about online earnings.

Hi Kurpesh. Yes, I do check out profiles before I accept or make friend requests. I enjoy, as you do, the quotes or mottos, as they can tell us something of that person's beliefs and character. I often check discussions started to make sure they are on the "up and up" and not a troll or scammer, etc. I also think it's interesting to know where they live, their age, etc. Karen

Hi krupesh, if I have more spare time, I would then check the profile before hitting the friends approved button. Otherwise I hit the approval straight away. I don't leave any impressive words in the slogan area. It's totally blank. I wonder why you still request me as friend I usually would check my friends' profile if we have more mutual interaction here. It's really interesting to learn more about the background of my friends who have common interests here. Knowing more about the info of our friends here could help a lot in the coming interactive activities here. If I'm not mistaken, I have participated in several discussions you started. I think it's the right time for me to have a look on your profile now Hopefully this could provide me the convenience to chat with you here. You know it's quite embarrassing if mentioning the wrong gender or country of our friends here Happy posting and take care!

I look at pretty much the same things that you do. There is one other thing that I did look at when I was still relatively new, and that was the backgrounds. I noticed that some where pimped out like those on myspace. I hate to admit it, but I was a little jealous as mine was so boring. LOL I wanted it to stand out like my myspace page, but I didn't know how to go about it. I even contacted admin to see if they could help, but no such luck. After some time went by I finally found a discussion on how to do it. I have to say it wasn't as easy to edit my profile on here as it is with my page on myspace, but I got it done. After having it up for a couple of years I finally changed it to the one that I have now. Happy mylotting!

I generally lookout for images which are there in the profile. I like to save the interesting images in my PC which are in the users profile. Other than that, I also look out for the HTML content provided by the user. Sometimes they are linked to some god sites. One of whom I am using and getting paid now. So I prefer watching the HTML column and joining under the user if it interests me. :) Happy Mylotting!

I do the same as what you stated. Checking peoples' profiles will let us know what discussions they started, their website which can be beneficial for us especially if it's a money making site , their personal information like age, country and the like. I also try to see if they have a customized profile. I find it very cool because i don't know how to do it. Some people are very artistic gifted with art

I wish there was more to the profile thingy, like what's their job, address or their home address like any other sites. it makes them a bit mysterious. ihave customized my profile with music, videos and some photos of myself. it looks good now. but i might changed it again.

Yeah.. I agree on that. More information like jobs and the like will make mylot more personalize and cool. But we still need to take into consideration that it's kinda dangerous on the other side. Some people will surely steal someone's information or identity for that matter. Anyhow, i wish to learn how to customize my profile without sweat hehe.
