I am pretty new to using a program to help manage downloads from the Internet. I found one that I really like due to the ease of use called Download Helper. I know there are many of these types of programs out there, but when I tried out a new one recently I found it difficult to use because I simply didn't understand how to use it. This led me to wonder which program others use to help with downloads. Have you been using the same program for a long time? What are some of the ones you like?

I never used any downloading softwares as you said for downloading anything from internet. I perfer downloading directly as it is hassle free way. Though these downloading softwares have some advantages repeated using is not advisable. Download Accelator is one of the program which i heard that is easy to use compare to download helper. You can try this software once. It is user friendly and you need not have to worry how to use it.

It probably seems odd, tdemex, that as long as I've been using the computer I only recently ever tried to download music videos, but it's true. I have been downloading games forever, and it is simple to do with Firefox. I found that downloading from sites like Youtube can be very different. That is why I installed a download helper.

I use DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to download big files. It basically boosts up the download speed up for 4x so I find this very useful since my internet disconnects every so often. I get really frustrated when my download fails and I have to restart it again, so that's why I got this program to make my downloads more speedy and nice.

I've not heard of a download helper ww. What sort of things do you download, or does your helper download and how does it help? If I want to download something, I just do it. Sometimes the file is corrupt by the time it reaches me sometimes it works. I just try again. The only things I download, that I'm aware of are
1) automatic updates (done automatically)
2) anything to do with updating my security files
3) things people send me in emails.
Occasionally I will try something like that typing program you suggested but that's all. My computer speed is very slow and I have limited download capabilities which are mostly used up when I answer emails.

I used utorrent especially for downloading movies. Good website to download is www.thepiratebay.com but it depends on the data to be downloaded. Trusted links are the best to download.

I use Orbit Download Manager, I use it download big files and also to download the videos from youtube and the likes. I also use DownThemAll, a plugin for firefox browser. They work fine to me but most of the sites where I download has limited time for resuming of downloads that is why I usually download torrent files.
