No, I don't use hot water bottle. I use the heated blanket when it gets pretty extremely cold. For a normal night, I use double-blanket. Tha works quite well. Ofcourse, I also have to wear some thick warm clothes too, and a night cap too some times. As you know, it gets very cold here in Canada in the winter time, and winter is very long too !

Hello jj. I use e-blanket under my quilt. At the same time I use a hot water bottle in the winter to warm my bed. I put it under my feet to warm them. If my feet feel warm, I sleep better.

I don't have a hot water bottle. I am going to get some extra blankets and quilts for the cold winter though. My mother used to have a hot water bottle years ago and I don't even remember what happened to it.

I never used a heated blanket or hot water bottle. I prefer to find my bed cold and warm it myself instead of using things such as the bottle and blanket. I prefer a bed to be cold. What I find a bit difficult in winter is my feet. When they are cold in bed its difficult to sleep so sometimes i wear a pair of socks.

I used to use a hot water bottle when I was young. But it was then replaced by a heated blanket for several times I was scalded by it. The heated blanket worked pretty well. But my parents thought that it was not safe enough for it relied on electricity. So I always turned it on about half an hour before I went to bed and then turned it off. Nowadays I'm highly dependent on air conditioner. Though it costs me a lot, I still think it's worthwhile for it provides me with a high quality sleep.

I had forgotten those even existed. Wow! Thanks. It could be a cold winter. These used to be quite popular when I was young and my grandmother and mom used them. Yes, happy Autumn to you as well. LOL

I actually find hot water bottles annoying and uncomfortable. I prefer to use an electric blanket or just turning the heating on in my room with a double duvet spread.. that usually does the trick.

I don't use either, but this year I may use the hot water bottle with plenty of blankets to keep me warm. I don't keep the heat on at night because of the covers so yes I will use the water bottle. The thought of winter around the corner is getting me quite upset. The summer went so fast once again.

I don´t have central heating at home and in winter it´s very cold specially at night. I have a sort of electric blanket that you put over the matress and under the lining and sheets. I also have a down quilt. And when it is still too cold, I have something that works in a similar way of a hot water bottle but better. It´s a rise bag. You make it with flannel in the outside and put it for 4 minutes with a glass of water in the microwave ove. Then the heated rice bag goes under the bed or you can first wrap around it your nightgown or pyjamas.

A while ago, i was living in a home that was only heated by a wood burning stove in the winter. This kept the living quarters nice and warm and toasty, but the bedrooms upstairs used to get quite chilly in the deepest parts of winter. I don't htink i would have survived without getting frost-bitten toes with out my heated matress Pad!..this was like a fitted bottom sheet that heated up like a heated blanket. I would turn it on about an hour before going to bed and it would keep the bed toasty warm all night, with no worries about getting tangled up in a cord when i tossed and turned (which i do frequently when i sleep)

we dont have winter in our country, but its very cold here by december up to january. one thing i love about y country is the climte. from january to december the climate is all the same. the only changes is summer which of course more hot and rainy season which always raining but without the rain then everything is the same. maybe thats the reason why during summer theres a lot of foreign nationals here visiting my country to stay up to february.

I will use electric blanket, the winter is very cold here. If you do not increase the quilt, I will be damaged by frost. Winter blanket should note the following: 1. Blanket not in direct contact with the human body. Shop the top layer of blankets or bed linens. Not be folded to use, easy to burn the hotline or the insulating side of the fire accident. 2. You can not blanket on the sharp metal objects protruding or hard objects to use. 3. Blanket must be cut off when not in power, to prevent accidents. 4. To avoid repeatedly folded in the same location to prevent the electric wire breakage due to folding, resulting in a fire. Incurred as a result of a long time with the "not hot" phenomenon, should be sent to factory repair. 5. Power of time should not be too long, usually before going to bed ohmic heating, turn off the power when falling asleep, in any case can not be used overnight. 6. Often use electric blanket, shall be suitably increased drinking water.

Using a hot water bottle is a good idea.i once used. Before you go to sleep, you have to move it anywhere under the quilts and it will make the bed feel warm enough.I don't like to use a heated blanket,as it always make me feel hot or feel cold when turning it off.

I think that I will be going with the extra blankets myself this year. I more often find myself putting ice packs on my head to deal with headaches than I do find myself needing more blankets to stay warm.
