Lady Sovereign? Who is this?

Have you heard of this rapper/musician? I was again reading an article in a back-dated gossip magazine at work, and it mentioned something about her. I've never heard of her music or even heard of her name until just now. So I'm wondering if you all can answer this question for me: What's her music like?
Is it any good (this question is of course subjective to personal opinion of course)?
But in general, is it worth checking out?
And if so, which songs would you recommend to me?

Lady Sovereign also did a collaboration with The Ordinary Boys called "Nine2Five" which is very catchy.
I am not a fan of hers as a whole - I'd be interested to hear whether you have had chance to listen to her stuff yet. I know someone else mentioned Lily Allen but apart from having a similar London accent, Lily is far superior and probably more commercial in my opinion.

she's similar to how Lilly Allen appeared at first - the whole British/London Bolshy working class/'common/chavy' attitude & style.

I'm in agreement with you. I'm in love with Lily Allen, I love all of her music, and while she's not necessarily "underground" she's also not.. necessarily "mainstream" to me. Caught in between, I suppose. And from listening to Lady Sovereign..I can't find any other similarities, than the fact that they both rock the British accent.

Lady Sovereign is a pint sized Brit singer, like more hip hop then Lily Allen. She has some catchy songs like. I Got You Dancing, So Human and Love Me Or Hate Me. Well worth checking out i d say

I've heard of Lady Sovereign before.
Her song "Love Me or Hate Me" was really popular amoung my myspace friends a while ago- they all had it as their profile song, lol.
