I am a type of person which really likes to work and live in a foreign country even if for a few months. Just an exprience in a country that I like. I would really like to go to Italy even if for a short while, maybe a few months. What about you? Is there a particular country which fascinates you? What do you like about the country? And most of all what do you think that are the main advantages and disadvantages?

My county is Philippines, I like here, because even thought Philippines is not a rich in money but I will sure you that Philippines is rich in nature, Almost 1/8 of the Philippines is composed of nature, we also have a good white beaches, a large tunnels and underwater tunnels too. Many tourist go here in the Philippines because one thing that we can be proud of our self is that we are Filipinos who serve others in a good way, That's why I love my country. But if I give a change I wont leave my country but I will tour around the world instead to know more about other people and cultures so we can understand others.. Thank you..

I would like to live in Japan if I will get the chance. I have always been fascinated to go there and I am very interested to know more about the country myself. But if I were to think about it deeply, I think nothing really beats home. I would love to live in Japan, yes, but that doesn't mean that I would like to abandon my home country too, despite of the economic and social problems here. By the way, I am a Filipino :)

I think so too. I'm just looking for a chance to have a vacation or something, but not necessarily move there. I hope things will get better sooner or later. Take care! :)

Hi there, well I do like the country that I live in. I think that the UK is a brilliant place to live, and that things are very fair here. I have been born and raised in the UK though so I might be a little biased. The only thing that might convince me to move to another country is to go somewhere where the weather is a little more reliable!

I visited Paris last year and it's a breathtaking city. Although most of the people sucks, but I think if I learn to speak French I will live normally there. The city is just beautiful, classic, and full of energy.

Hi, I really agree with you. I have just been in paris in july for a week. I really fell in the love with the place. Although i prefer italy, I think I would also take in consideration paris as a second choice. Its lovely. I never bothered to learn french but since i went there, I wanted to learn it. Its amazing how beautiful is that place. Its a really breathtaking place I adore it.

I've never been to Italy but I would love to go there in the future. I heard it is also breathtaking and generally slightly cheaper than Paris and London right? Yeah, I'm also interested learning Frenh after visiting the country. I love the way they talks, seems so eloquent and flows like music isn't it? :))

I would love to live in Italy. The weather is nice and I love the food, the language, the culture and the history. Living in another country is the easiest way to learn another language and it makes more sense to be immersed in the lifestyle at the same time. I'm sure I would come to miss the UK eventually but it is a dream I would like to fulfill.

I understand you completly. I really love Italy since I was just a child. I grew up watching their programmes on tv etc. I learned the language from the TV and then I started to learn italian at school as well. I really love this country. Its a country which has everything such as good food, mountains, lakes, rivers, culture, beautiful language and beautiful music. I am a big fan. Goodluck and hope your dream comes true.

I really like to live and work in my home country. But because of the global crisis and of the growing corruption here, it's really hard to make a living. I guess the only way to escape is to work abroad.

Its so sad to hear this. I understand what you mean. The situation is already far difficult because of the crisis and when things like that occur, everything get worse. Its sad to leave from your own country because of these reasons but unfortunately these things are happening as well. Hope you find you way, wish you all the best!

Hmm.. what country would I like to live? I don't know I know alot of countries I'd like to visit. Greece, England, New Zealand. Maybe I would like France. Although I have heard they really dont like Americans.
Of course the advantages of living in France would be to see all the attractions there. Disadvantages. Well... I don't speak french. lol..

Hi, omiami
I like living in my home country too. Here, I do not think I will ever be lonely and there will be no shortage of people willing to help or just cheer me up.
However, I would also like to see and experience other countries. Italy, France and Greece all sound nice. Canada and USA too. I think being somewhere new and being someone anonymous would be wonderful. I mean, I would be able to start a new clean page of my life. Not that I am complaining about anything right now. But the thought of simple living would be nice. I would just work there and look at new things and experience a different culture while I am in another country.
And then I will go back to my home country and die here

i think now i live in a country i really dream to live. it's the UK. after one and half year of living here i really like the weather. it's not cold in winter and not hot in summer. it has no fly and mosquitos in summer either. the sky is blue and the air is clean. the last but not least here i can learn english that will help me have more chance to get a decent job in future.
the disadvange of living in the UK is too expensive. some prices are ridiculous to me. however the Pound is not cheap now compared to other main currency. so if i travel outside the UK i will have advantage in the currency value.
there is no perfect country to live. the most important thing is to find the place that suits you, that needs you.

Hi Omiami,
I have been fascinated with Japan for a while, so I think that if I were to live in another country it would either be Japan, or maybe China which also interests me. I don't know either language at the moment which means I probably will never move anywhere since I don't think they know English, but it has always seemed like a lovely place to live.
I saw a program recently that mentioned that Japan was moving to electric cars, and that also lures me there as well. I would love to live in a place where electric cars at the norm! The people have always seemed to nice and respectful as well, which seems neat, and it is the home of anime, so it would be fun to see that live on their TV's.
As for disadvantages, there are very few jobs for people in my age group, so I wouldn't be able to find one I don't imagine. I have heard that the people may be wary of outsiders, especially if you don't know the customs (which I don't). The housing I could afford looks really small as well which I wouldn't like.
But if I ever learnt the language and won the lottery, I would definitely love to move to Japan for a few months.
All the best,
Dranz

Hi Dranz, I understand what you mean. If one knows more about culture and language of the country it is sure much better before moving to the place, however certain things you will learn them by time. I think if I had to move to country and for example I wont know the language, the best way to get hold of the language, is by living there. Its a sort of global experience, new country, new culture, new language etc. However i know its good to be prepared before and its good to be able to comunicate just in case problems may arise. But moving out to another country, also makes you learn many things.

I love my country very much, but if I had a chance, I really would like to go to Japan for once, to see the variety of special things and thing you could not see in your countries. They invented so many creative things in their country that none are available in my country. I feel so anxious to have this chance to go to Japan and see their products. If only I had tonnes of cash, I am surely to visit Japan and go shopping their weird products there and bring back to my country.

Hi Omiami,
I love my country and like to live hereafter. I may wish to visit other countries but there is no question of living there. It does not mean that I hate those countries but it is because I love my country. I know each country has its own importance and values. I do respect all other countries too.
I am an Indian and I really proud on that.

Hi Omiami,
If I could live any place I wanted, I would want to live in Hawaii,
Hawaii is always beautiful from what I've heard... and it would be great waking up in "paradise" every morning:-)

Asia would be my first to live in. I defently love to life in a very earthy place. Like a village in Japan. I love a place where it would be not to hot or not to cold. I would want tree's surrounding my air breathing. The freshness of it all just makes it more livily! A good place to raise a good home. A place to relax and just be more out there. :D
