My cat is up in age and i woke up this morning and hes lost his hair on his belly and one his sides. Now its not completely bald but its thinning as i would call it. Is this normal?

Losing that much hair is not normal. Get your cat to the vet.

It is very important for you to take your cat to the vet. My daughter's cat was losing fur on his belly; he was bald there. It turned out that he had an infection and diabetes. He is on antibiotics and insulin now. It's too soon to know if he's doing better or not.

I have a cat who has emotional issues and grooms herself bald, but she's now got a few spots that I don't think she groomed, so I need to find some money to take her to the vet to get checked out

maybe he has some skin condition, and he is itching too much until his hair falls off. my late pets had flea problems and they itched a lot to the point of irritation and lost some hair. i just gave them regular baths, fogged my place every two weeks, and washed them with natural shampoos as well as flea shampoo. but made sure to wash their head and face with a pet no more tears shampoo. maybe also give him some cat multivitamins.

I think that he must be ill. And you'd better take him to the doctor,of course ,if you still love him though he got ugly!

Usually older cats tend to start losing their hair and thinning, and this is perfectly normal. However if he isn't that old, then you should probably take him to the vets. Try feeding him fish, thats what someone I know has done and they have a much fuller coat now and he's a very old cat now. xz

Have you changed anything on your cats' diet? Have you fed it sardines or anything like that? I would suggest that you bring your cat to the vet since it is not normal for cats to completely lose their fur. Yes, the shed but not go completely bald. Something may have caused an irritation on your cat's skin for it to lose its fur.

This is not normal at all a I have a cat and he was having this problem too so we took him to the animal doctor and then he said that my cat has been contaminated with food and there was a bacteria irritating his body thats why his hairs were falling considerably and the doctor gave a medicine to apply on his body three times a day and make sure the cat does not lick the medicine and then in the evening wash the medicine on him, after some two weeks my cat was very fine too.
