How long before we actually go to Mars and end the speculation?

I was reading an article on Yahoo! about how Mars turned Red. They have all these theories about it. I just think, "its red, who cares why? It just is. Let's worry about more important things, is it liveable? Can we plant trees and plants there? How long does it take to get there? Can I go there?
What are some questions that you have about the American Mars missions?
Do you have any juicy info on this topic?

Aaaah! The romanticism aside I can't help but ask..Why Bother?!
Its your own description that leads the way..in essence you ask, How can we use it?
And we're quite good at that. Just look at the world we're on now. Why would we be any different on Mars. It may be a new neighborhood, but its the same old neighbors.
Sorry, but I can't get excited about the notion..
ENJOY!

thats strange. i was just reading an old book, from '99. where it was saying that our USA was looking at mars for star wars type project which the news media has been covering up. one of those "what are we NOT being told" books also gave me the creepy's and i had to quit reading it its normally red or turned red? i bet we'd never have the money to go, i mean you know just middle class people

Yes, i am relatively sure that we can't live on this planet. Red or blue. It just isn't going to happen. You can go there. It will take a long long time to get there. I have no questions about the American mars missions. I will watch it on the National Geographical.
