I was watching this reality show, the contestants were given a free massage as a price for winning the challenge. and so i had not have a formal massage where i will lay down on bed and get half naked and have a massage. i had been few times massage by friends. but it was sort of demo massage like they show it is done. by massaging my back and that was it. but nothing serious massage or any therapeutic massage with oil and all.
So i just wonder who had experience a real massage, did you like. Do you have a massage done to you every now and then. how often is it. and does it help in any way healthwise.

I use to get massages once a week from the massage therapist ,I worked with. It use to make me sick ,but felt wonderful at the time. I have a disorder with the muscles that makes it hard to do this anymore. But I would love to have one once again without side effects of becoming sore and sick.

hi capsicum,
maybe you can try a light massage or a swedish massage (to relax your muscles) with using aromatherapy oil. you can have a burner for your aromatherapy oil... peppermint and pine and lavender will be fine for you. you can play music to add spice in your aromatherapy massage (you can choose from among the nature sounds to instrumental mellow music). you will be high...high spirited after this session!

hi friend,
yes, i love to be massaged.
as part of our self-care...me and my husband have a regular whole body massage session with a professional therapist every friday at home. she uses aromatheraphy oil, it's very relaxing and can really take away stress. after the massage, we both have a sound sleep!
i always look forward to fridays, a day for pampering myself...really a great treat!

Hello Hotsummer,
I like massage, but I seldom go for it. It is quite expensive to get a proper and full body massage.
I like Thai massage. I tried the real Thai massage in Thailand. Like it so much.
I have try some foot massage too. It is quite famous here .

yeah indeed massage is relaxing and makes want to sleep while you are being massaged. it is one of the greatest feeling having our body given such a massage whether heavy or gentle massage. sometimes the heavy massage can be quite painful but it still feels great despite the pain .

Hiya Hotsummer..
I am a massage buff primarily on my feet, legs and head. I always make it a point to have a massage every week. Sitting in the office makes my body mostly the legs and posterior areas numb and beat up. My reflexologist always make it a point to give me a thorough rub and massage on these to relieve the stress of the muscles. I prefer to use efficascent oil which gives off a soothing effect on the muscles. My feet are too vulnerable to stress and an area of focus for massage. Pressure points in the feet are massaged well which give a feeling of relief afterwards. Head massage, primarily on the base of the nose and the temple, relieves all the stress and it seems washed out all my problems.
After the massage, I can't remember what happened because it brings me to a deep sleep. A refreshing and invigorated feeling after a full body massage with the soothing effect of efficascent oil..

effiscascent oil has many good effects when massage on our body. we use that when our body aches. we rub it only on the area there is pain but not for the whole body though.

i like it hundred percent, my last massage was last sunday in a spa. it really relaxes my whole body after a good workout or even after work. actually its a weekly routine for me, sunday is my spa/massage day. i guess it helps the flow of your blood and eases the pain.

Personally having a massage is one of the most relaxing things a person can do, and it can help relieve a lot of built up tension, relax some of your muscles, relieve migraine headaches, etc. I have had the pleasure of having a massage a couple of times in my life, and if I could afford it would be considering getting more of them done as well.

yes that is true. if you can have them why not, if you can afford then we should take that opportunity to have a good relaxing massage. i can't afford it so that is why i am not able to do it yet . but i wonder if it is really worth saving up money for it.

Many people I know seem to think it's odd on my part, but I can't stand massages! Yes, it can be therapeutic, can help with circulation, injury and strain; and can be of tremendous overall health benefit if done properly, but it's just not for me. A lot of people say that it's because I've never had a good one before, but this isn't true at all. I've had ones before that were perfectly fine in many ways, I just don't particularly like them as a whole!

I have never had a massage and I want to experience this so badly! My muscles always feel so tense especially after a good workout. I'm pretty sure that this service can be quite expensive though, this is what puts me off probably. I suppose the best way is to have your partner carry out this servie for you although I'm unlucky in that I don't have a partner at the present time. I may do some research on reasonably priced massage joints! Andrew

that is the same way with me. i am single too and have no one to do it for me who can help me my muscles relax. anyways i just give myself massage when my muscles hurt a lot. though it is not as good as others doing it to me. but at least it will help a bit and give me some relief from aching muscles. sometimes when the weather gets too cold my muscles hurt. i don't know if it is rheumatism or what but a massage will definitely help .

Hi Hotsummer,
I don't like massage and I won't never go for a massage.Even if it is free of charge, I won't go for it.
Everytime when I went to salon for hair washing, the lady will massage my head and my shoulder,I will told her not to do it for me as I feel uncomfortable with it.
I just don't like someone to press my head and my body.
Some people tell me that massage can release a stress, but I won't never go for massage in my whole life.

yeah me too i don't want to be shampooed in salon. but massage is just okay for me as long as the one doing it will be good at it and will not just be good at it and not like having me doing it myself which means not good at it. .

It's been such a long time since I've had a massage. It was about 5 years ago the last time that I had one, but I can tell you, they are absolutely heavenly. I am going next week to have a mini massage done and after the mini massage they are selling gift certificates for a full massage for a discounted price, so I am really looking forward to that because I am going to buy myself a massage and treat myself.
Whenever I have one done I feel so relaxed and so much looser than I did prior to having the massage done.

When I do or get the chance for a massage I can't get through the whole thing. I am very ticklish its funny. Usually im the one giving the massage. I love the fact that I do it because, I help out my grandma's acheing back or shoulder. It's nice to see her smiling and feeling more relax and loose. So me getting a message yeah right!

Yes, it feels relaxing to be massage, it feels so good. You will feel lighten and out of problem. The first time I got a massage is when my hubby ask me to do it, it was in the airport, those who gave a massage where blind people. And my last time is when my aunt gave a me a massage after that trip because I really feel exhausted.

The last time I had a massage was about a month ago. It was an hour of full body massage. It was really great and It really made me relax and recharge. I am crazy about massage. It seems that my body would be looking for it whenever I am very tired. Well, it does cost much, that is why I do not take it often.

I am a slave for massage. I really like getting a massage. There are these machines on the malls where you can have your back or your feet massaged and I never miss tem when I visit the malls. I also ask my little brother to massage me sometimes and he likes it because I pay him lol. I feel rejuvenated and calm whenever I get a massaga so I try to have it as often as possible.
