A question about gay marriage.

Are there any straight people here who feel like gay marriage would threaten their marriage? If so, I would love to hear your reasons. I'm in the states and I hear that a lot but nobody ever explains why they feel that way.
I can't see how gay marriage could possibly threaten hetero marriage, even if it tried.

I don't see how it can threaten hetero marriage either. It just seems to me that the people who have problems with it must not feel very secure in their marriage to begin with. Why worry about gay marriage when there are other, valid things in the world that need changing? Feed the homeless, help starving children in your community instead of donating tons of money to stop gay marriage. It amazes me what people's priorities are.
