Glenn Beck says Obama better than McCain!

Glenn Beck who few weeks ago said Barack Obama was racist, now says (during an interview with Katie Curic) that Obama is better for the nation than McCain would have been! Fellow conservative radio talk hosts are completely confused! What's up?

I am sure that Glenn is very happy that McCain lost in the election, this way he has someone to blame for everything that has happened in the last 18 years. I am sure that Rush, Hannity, and O'Reilly would agree 100% with Beck.

Really! And how are Rush, Hannity, etc. agreeing, Greatdebater? Mike Gallagher, Taylor (sit-in for Dennis Prager) and Hugh Hewitt were besides themselves! Oh, we now have Rush and Hannity on Houston AM 740 and I only listen to AM 740 at night to hear Coasttocoastam. AM 740 used to be our News and Weather station: Currently, it is nothing but republican propaganda and Houston AM 740 is very intolerant of anyone with opposing viewpoint!

Sooner, when was the last time you have heard a politican show any responsibility for anything. Even when they are caught red handed, they find a way to blame someone else.

Don't you guys know the three rules of politics? Well let me tell you what they are 1. Admit nothing 2. Deny everything 3. Make counter accusations. There I have outlined what all politicans do when caught doing anything wrong or if things go don't go how htey planned....or heck they use those rules even to jsut trash the other side, or anyone who speaks out against them. Kinda an all purpose politican guideline for handling any situation. From some stupid reason it actually works for them most of the time. Someone want to explain that one to me?

Here's another Beck flip-flop, this time on bailouts. Here was for them before he was against them. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2009_09/020049.php

Glenn Beck is "the biggest cheerleader" for conservative Fox News!

I actually think I remember him saying those things. Apparently he has a short memory about quite a few things! Remember how he also said he hated the 9/11 victims' families? He added "Not all of them, maybe about ten" but to hear him now you'd think he was their biggest cheerleader. Annie

You can see part of the interview here and apparently the whole thing will be available after 7:00 pm tonight: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5328039n CBS) In an interview for the inaugural installment of @katiecouric, the new Web show hosted by Katie Couric, Glenn Beck said that he thinks "John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama." Beck, the Fox News personality, radio host and author, also said that he may have voted for Hillary Clinton over McCain had Clinton been the Democratic nominee in 2008. "I can’t believe I’m saying this, I think I would have much preferred her as president and may have voted for her against John McCain," Beck told Couric. Prompted to elaborate by the CBS Evening News anchor and managing editor, Beck said he thinks "McCain is this weird progressive like Theodore Roosevelt was." "I think John McCain would have been worse," he continued, laughing. "How about this? I think John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama. How’s that?" http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/09/21/katiecouric/main5328053.shtml I'm not sure if he elaborates on WHY he feels this way or not. CBS is clearly giving just enough to tease people into wanting the rest of the story. My opinion is that Beck is nuts and that has nothing to do with whether he's liberal or conservative...lol! He'd have fit in well at the mental hospital "House" was in last night! Annie

Anniepa, that is exactly what "happy conservative" Mike Gallagher aired on his show at about 8:15 AM on 9/22/09, Houston time. But I thought that Glenn Beck was the favorite of conservative Fox News.

They shouldn't be that confused. Rush Limbaugh always hated McCain. Ann Coulter said that if McCain won the nomination she would have voted for Hillary. Of course Hillary didn't win her own party's nomination so that never happened. Of course you've failed to provide a source as usual so I'll ask, can you give me a source that has the transcript of this statement? I'm betting he said far more than that one line.

Taskr, Mike Gallagher first aired the said interview: I heard the question relating to this particular response by Glenn Beck: Katie Curic asked her question and Glenn Beck responded, adding "how is that!" It was a very simple question and Beck gave his true answer. Several callers tried hopeless to imply the response was taken out of context and even "happy conservative" Mike Gallagher, hoping there may be some truth to what the callers were hoping, replayed the clip numerous times. Nothing was taken out-of-context. Glenn Beck simply gave his true response (or so it was)!

McCain...Obama...Obama...McCain...really what the difference between them. The wars are still going on. Gitmo is still open. The patriot act is still standing...spending is still out of control.Health care is no closer to getting fixed. The budget is not balanced and there is not a plan on paying down the national debt. Social programs are bankrupt. Being a federal contract is still a great way to get rich without anyone watching what you do with the money. We are in teh same place we would have been in if McCain has been elected. There was only marginal difference between them inthe first place. then add in the lies they knew they were telling on the campaign trail (on both sides), all those promises they knew they were not going to keep, lobbyist, special interest groups, house of reps. and congress. Yep no matter which one of the two would have gotten elected we would still be in the same spot.

Lilwonders, you are full of surprises! (Laughs) You know, it is impossible to be a decent person and belong to any political party as we now know them!

I think the only difference is that Obama turned a steady decline into a freefall. That and he really fooled people. I think most McCain supporters were realistic and knew he wouldn't make good on all his promises. Obama's supporters were blinded by his awesomeness.

G Beck's really saying, and I've heard in his own words, "With a population of 300 Million people, do you think our country could have found two better people to represent the two major parties?" Now, how many of us agree with that, huh?

You don't say why he thinks Obama is better than McCain, but I think I can guess. McCain would have continued in the same vein as Bush, the citizenry would have remained complacent and not too worried while rights and liberties were eroded a little at a time. But Barack Obama is like a bucket of ice water right over your head, you can't help but wake up and pay attention to the way our country is heading. Obama has set out a radical, revolutionary course that strikes deep at the heart of what average Americans believe their country should be and threatens to change our nation into his vision. His socialist, globalist vision. Under Obama, you see the grassroots movements of people speaking up and protesting the programs and policies that they believe will threaten their liberty and collapse the economy. The American people needed a wake-up call. Being too comfortable and not watching over your freedom is the surest way to lose it. They are awake now and defending that freedom and our Constitution. For that, Obama is directly responsible.

You know, Rollo1, that was also my view. While I do not share the president's views on some issues, I however believe that Barack Obama for focusing on domestic issues (something recent presidents have not done) got Americans thinking hard! Though some people would now like to talk about nationalized/socialized health care and civil rights violations, all these indeed took root in early 2000s under the beloved republican George W. Bush! As you can see, no one paid attention when the Patriot Act II and MEHPA were passed!
