I was wondering this of my fellow Mylot peers....How often do you change your default picture? Or do you?
I have had the same default pic for over 3 years, since I have started. I have never changed it because I can easily identify myself and my responses in other's forums. LOL But likewise, I often look at other's people's pics throughout the threads as more like an icon; a picture, to me anyways, is much more memorable than just a name. It would have taken me twice as long to get to recognizing members on here if I didn't have the "face with a name" thing going on. For those who constantly switch up their pics, unless I have personally interacted with them, may pass unnoticed as one of my peers!
How about you?

And I have seen your activity constantly on here-you are one definitely known by name and icon! It has served you well!

I never really change my display picture on here or any other place. Except this one time where there was a rebellion happening in the forum and I had a Guy Fawkes mask edited onto my display picture. It started out ok for the rebellion but it lost drive so I changed back to my old one. As for the picture to name I agree that it is a lot easier to remember someone by their picture than by their name. Take yours for example, you've got a lot of numbers after your name, it's easier to associate/remember with your picture than name when there is a comment being posted on here.

I have never changed the defaults. I like to be able to quickly and easily identify what comes up at the top of the screen. Same with my own avatar. I won't change that either!! People who change their avatars all the time drive me nuts, because I can't always see who they are right away, when they are constantly changing everything.

They are a little irritating when they are constantly changed aren't they? It definitely makes it harder to identify people, as they can be easily sorted by the image much easier than their name. I had thought a few times of changing mine, but anymore, it has become my signature image for me and for others, and I won't change it because I like the fact I have become established with it.

Hi princess, I don't get into the workings here, as my IT knowledge is so bad, that I don't like to change things.

You better not change yours, Mipen! You are one of the most easily identifiable and I would be lost if you changed yours!

hello princess, for the past few days I had the habit of changing avatars when ever my friends here would start changing their pictures with smileys, and more are into these little guys. as for me, i have a different approach in changing my avatars. I wonder which is the best pic for me here.

Well in my opinion, sticking to one will help establish you-and people will recognize you more quickly then if you continuously change it up. Then again, you look pretty well established here with Mylot, so my theory could be wrong. ; )
