We have a new mare at the stable I work at. She arrived Saturday. She is a warmblood and is beautiful! Her name is Reed's Rising Star! She is a light chestnut and is 16.1 hands high! To top it off she is pregant! I hear she is due in April 2010! The stable hasn't had a pregnant mare in years! I'm excited about this! Star is 9 yrs old and very sweet! She has been a mom before and I know she'll be a great mom again!

Sounds very exciting. I have worked with horses for over 20 years. I worked on a breeding farm for a few years. I love foaling season. The excitement when the new foals arrive. They are so cute. I wish you guys the best luck with your new mare AND her foal. Happy mylotting!!

Congrats! The last time I saw a foal up close was when I was a kid, but a friend of mine's horse delivered about a month ago, and I can't wait to see her. I would LOVE to raise a foal sometime a few years from now, when I have a little more experience with horses. Working for a stable would be my dream job, I think. I love horses, and just don't get the exposure that I'd like.
