Oh yes. The US military already has remote control war-bots in use in Iraq. And we are racing like crazy towards the dreaded... SINGULARITY. (cue Menacing Music)

Yes it can, if we keep relying on robotics to solve every problem for us which is hwat happened in teh movie. Hopefully we are far off from that and maybe we also have someone postponing judgement day for us
