Trolls may have come back and rating us down....

Hi Letran! I too have noticed and it has happened to many more other than the ones you mention. Maybe it is not because of trolls but just some levelling out because as the response says above, new users cannnot rate now. If there are some really drastic drops we can contact admin about them.

hi buddy. i have told you before, that i crave for a blue star. since i reached this red for more than a year now, it stays with me and looks like it loves to be beside lapu-lapu forever. lol so be it, if it wants it there. i actually don't get bothered any color i have as i guess it won't affect my participation. what i really hate is when i have no internet, and you can see me from there, bothered and can't be talked by anyone. lol just like now, i can connect but will be cut off, then back on again, reconnecting, and gone again, grrrrrrrr.

hey, what's up. you may have been right about that or simply it's was just a major glitch due to the my-lot upgrade. you know i was almost eighty one (81) last night now i went and slide down to seventy six (76). it's either a glitch or some one is messing around with our reputations. i really didn't but i wonder how can my points drop that fast as i didn't even say anything bad here. definitely something is wrong

My star just turned red again. I lost 2 points in my rating, and I have really no idea why.. I have tried not to respond to controversial discussions, and to discussions about other online money making sites cause I know they would be deleted eventually.. hmmm.. It's the first time my rating went down and I have no idea why..

..uhm...what are they to gain from rating others down?

I started a discussion about this the other day. My rating dropped 13 points literally overnight. I had a red star with a 94 rating when I went to bed, and I awoke to a yellow star with a rating of 81! Fortunately, my friends on here banned together and helped restore my red star, but I have noticed a bunch of people have gone down in ratings. I agree that something does not seem right about it.

eh, don't worry yourself over it, Letran. It's just a rating after all. We know you guys are '10' no matter what. Mylot should never have come up with this star system cause it just gives more ammo for the trolls.

I wonder if it is trolls or just other users in general. There is not a great deal we can do about it I guess. It is shame that some would negative rate just out of spite. I keep hoping that not be the case but what the heck can you do? It seems to be the same old story...

Those "trolls" will eventually get what's coming to them, in my opinion. I don't think you should worry about it; understand that a thing called "karmic retribution" exists; what comes around goes around. Their stupidity and.. annoying agendas will eventually get the better of them. I can't imagine why anyone would want to do something like that. What a time-waster! They certainly aren't making any MONEY off of that, and I cant' imagine that a thing like that is fun to do..But whatever. I definitely agree with you - "get a life", is right! I mean who has enough time to do stuff like this, anyway? And what exactly do they gain out of it? At any rate, I think MyLot's admin will eventually take care of them, and their accounts will be deleted or disabled or something of that sort, and we won't have to worry about it anymore. Just give it time.

Letran- I have simply given up on all hope of being rated where you are at dear friend. Most of my negative rating came when I openly expressed my political views early on during my time on Mylot. Some people simply cannot deal with someone else disagreeing with them. I do not consider those people trolls, some are actually friends, but at times our own passions can lead us to rank someone negatively before thinking about what we are actually doing. I would not concern yourself with trolls, stalkers, mean spirited people, or the like. They are not worth your time or anyone else's time for the matter. You have some wonderfully provacative pieces on Mylot and that is where you should stay focused. I think it is wonderful that you and others have chosen your duty as Guardians and have taken it to heart, but fear not for we have faith. Those of us that have been around long enough know the Truth. I myself have not been around but 8-9 months, but somne of my friends have been here for years and I know if they can weather the shifty waters so can I. And as another person once said, I believe it was Mike, your star ranking doesn't prove you can write or not write. The lower the star may very well show that you have the ability to get people thinking. I tend to agree with him on this. Have a lovely day dear friend. Namaste-Anora

sounds like office politics,..reflection of real life. the more you seem bothered, more they will bother you. you said it right 'we should not bother ourselves'.

I have been here for a long time. Permit me to tell you my experience on Mylot. It comes and goes in cycles. Ever so often be it through a glitch in Mylot or some mean spirited members some people are loosing ratings. Then the discussions about trolls start. People are berating trolls, getting angry over little red or blue stars and in some cases accusing other people of being trolls. In the past this has led to some nasty discussions and even banishments from Mylot. It is my view if trolls are totally ignored all the fun is taken away from them. So let it be.

I saw that with someone else too. People, get a life!!!

People rate me down but I suspect its because I don't make good responses or they just don't understand my sense of humor.

hhhmmmm nothing more to say... you did notice mine before right? from a 100 down to 99... hope its not the trolls been doing it to me as well.. hope they do get a life!!! and they are turning our rating darn down to the pits! its not good for an active and fellow mylotter who are doing good and helping out here in mylot community. if they are not doing good then why let other suffer!!! because of the past?! well they do have to learn a lesson and i just hope they are not that small minded bird brain as not to think! jhelai

I think there are some people in myLot who really don't like someone going up & hence rates you down. May be that person will be good to others but may don't like you because you might have told something in their discussions. Also it might be because somebody else might not like your discussion & they might have a habit of rating down those discussions they don't like. But I think friends can always help because I always try to support my friends so negative rating my friends is out of question. I believe we all have the power to rise again if we fall down. so I never worry about trolls. Happy Lotting

Someone rated me down yesterday and I think I got it when I had responded to the same topic as this. I just got back up today I hope those were not trolls that gave me a negative rating. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again today "stop the freaking crab mentality and be mature!" Happy mylotting guys and enjoy:)
