here, some of my roommates didnt shave their armpit, but sometimes they will wear short-sleeved shirt, the hairs there are really...awkwards.
but i know well that if u cut them or plug hairs, the new grow hairs gonna be much thicker and blacker..that's really headache.
do you shave ur armpit hairs,or do you have any good idea on how to clean them?
thanks so much for sharing

Hi babyorchid,
I do shave and pluck my armpit hair, I do it once a week.
I want to make sure the armpit hair is gone when I wear short sleeve shirt,or else it is very shy when I accidentally raise up my hand and that CORNER like in a mess.
I never try to wax,I m not sure whether it will be pain or not.
Anybody wax the armpit hair before? Is it pain? It takes how long for the hair to come back again??
Happy Mylotting !!

Yes, I shave my arm pit for sure. It is disgusting to see an arm pit with hair. I am talking about women and when it comes to men; I think it is fine to have hair. It is manly for a man to have hair in his arm pit. This is my personal opnion and there may be people disagreeing to it. I shave my arm pit once in two or three days. I have a slight dark color there. I want to use soem creams to remove it. Can you suggest one?

Yea, I shave my armpits. Not a lot though, razor burn under your arms sucks really bad. But yea I feel a lot cleaner when I am shaved, and when it's long it's really ugly. If you don't want to shave or pluck or whatever, you can use a cream hair lotion, like NAIR, if you've heard of it. You put some on your hands and rub it on the hair like you would with lotion, let it sit for a while and wipe it off with a towel or something. I'm not exactly sure how hair grows back for a person who's never done anything to their hair before. It might not grow back as thick if you do it that way....good luck.

yeah, i shave my armpits. actually, shaving ur armpits is the easiest and fastest part of ur body to shave. it is such a small area. i can do it in 5 minutes, both armpits. i usually do it really fast in the morning when i wake up, before i get dressed. just lather some soap, and the shave it with a couple of strokes.

oh my God, i cannot in the wildest of dreams think of PLUCKING my underarms! Well, yes i do shave my underarms as i feel more confident wearing sleveless clothes and also hygenic. For me shaving is the best option as using hair removal cream had darkened my underarm skin, which actually looked very bad.

Good Lord...can you imagine how painful plucking underarm hair would be? I really don't understand people who can possibly get their underarms waxed...I have problems with the pain of leg waxing as it is, let alone my armpits where the hairs are heaps stronger. :P And the skin is more sensitive there too.

i go to the salon monthly for my underarm wax...
it only hurt the first time...but after that no more...
the leg wax is a looooot more painful i promise....
not with the underarms...
i do not shave coz it grows back after a day or so..and they itch when they start growing...and seems to me it makes underarm hair look thicker...
if you have them waxed,, the become less and less ...
I used to shave when i was really young...
but since i started waxing (when I had a son , and because I could pay for it already,lolz)... i noticed the hairs had thinned out... and theere's almost none......
i don't know why but it just does that......

I am in my fifties and have shaved since I was a teenager. The hairs never grew back thicker or blacker. I have always heard that too, but obviously it is not always true.
When I was in college we had several girls from other countries who did not shave. It just wasn't something they did in their country. They always thought we were odd!

Especially you are so pretty. Then see your armpit, fill of heavy hair in it. Guy will disappointed seeing you like that...

Hey babyorchid,
In all honesty, I'm glad you addressed this. Sometimes we all get so caught up in our "public manners" and "discussions" that I feel like society today becomes unusually artificial and alien.
One suggestion is to bleach your armpits. I know that sounds weird, but I know a lot of girls that do it (bleaching is more commonly known to be used in the bleaching of mustache hairs), and simply leave it be or shave it off. I'd recommend a few creams (I know many others in this discussion that have listed such) when it comes to shaving armpit hair.
Hope that helps! I realize I skipped over a few details and was slightly generic, but it's better than nothing, I suppose. :)

Hi babyorchid. I do shave my armpit. I find it a lot easier than plucking. Although, I must admit that there were times that I plucked the newly grown hair. It is good for a woman to be presentable. Even if it were not exposed, we should have a conscious effort to clean ourselves even on that area.

Fortunately, I am not a hairy person. I don't have that much hair in my armpits and therefore, I do not shave it. I pluck them one by one. I cannot stand to see any hair under my armpits. It's so unhygienic and not very lady-like especially when you are wearing sleeveless shirts or when you raise your arms.

I totally shave my armpit hair. I work at a swimming pool and my armpits are always showing. I would be embarrased if they were all hairy all the time. Besides, when it starts to grow out I feel like my deodorant doesn't do as good a job and I feel more sweaty and stinky.

Yes I do shave my armpit hair. I think it is disgusting NOT to shave your armpit hair. Women and men should groom themselves to where hair doesn't get out of control. One thing that I do have to say is this...the thing about shaving your hair making it come back faster, darker, and thicker, is a myth. That is untrue. But grooming is very important.

before, i shave my armpit. i find it a hustle because i have to shave every week especially that my armpit hairs grow so fast. now, im using wax. why don't you try it. it is painful at first but later on you get used to it. i am waxing my armpit hair every three weeks only. another benefit for waxing is, it makes your hair grow thinner and it makes your armpit whiter. try it! :)
