Please specify if you`re a boy or a girl . I know that isn`t for girls, but some of them , really can do that . As about the boys , i`m courious if you make them every day , every week , or just when you have time . You can specify if you are goind to a gym too , because that really matters a lot. Do you think that slim guys can make more than fat guys ?

I am a woman and I cannot do even 1. When I was in high school, we had to do a Citizen's Army Training and for a demerit, a push-up served as a punishment. I had even more demerits but my Officer let it go after seeing that I really cannot do one. My classmates (girls) can do it. Neither can I do correct sit-ups. I only make it halfway. I'm not doing any gym, BTW.

i`m amaised . You should start to practice at least one sport , because it`s good for your healthy . I can`t say what sport, because i don`t know what do you like , but you should start now, until it`s not too late . You body needs you to move more , and you don`t let your body to push it`s limits . You should try to go to a gym and make some fitness .

Thank you for the advise. But, I am too lazy to do any sports. Sometimes, I play badminton with my husband. I do enough walking with my house chores.

I see that 4-5 push-ups thouse that you are already doing are just fine for a girl . You should not make more than 10 push-ups ,beacuse in that case, you`ll make some muscles, and they don`t look so good on girl arms . You can reach 10 push-ups just if you make them every day . After a wile you`ll be able , but for girls , other gym lessons are good , not push-ups . Thanks for your answer . You were so kind ...

A lot. I like to impress the ladies with my physical prowess. Whenever I see a lady on the street I flex my muscles and yell to her, "look at this, sweet thing!" This works incredibly well. Women instantly fall in love with my muscles and just start french kissing me on the spot. This is why you should lead a healthy lifestyle. No, I'm just joking. I don't know how many I can do. I probably haven't did a sit up in 2 years.

I am a guy and I'm 26 this year. I do around 330 push-ups a day to keep fit and to maintain a well toned-up body. I will normally do 165 during daytime and another 165 during evening or after dinner at night. I can't do 165 at one go or continuously, the maximum I can do is 50 at one go without stopping or resting, so I'll normally do 50 and then break for around 1 minute and continue with another 50 and so on... I am a slim guy with 36 inches chest and 31 inches waist, which I think is consider an almost perfect or should I say average size for guys. I think its not necessary that slim guys would definitely be able to do more then fat guys, it all depends on the fitness and stamina level of each individual.

Wow , you really make a lot of push-ups . That`s so nice . i can do just 30 and then if i`m taking a break , i can`t make 30 more . If you really make 330 all day long , that`s really amaising . That means that you have a lot of free time too . But you should make thouse exercises every day or at least week, otherwise, you`ll be a fat one if you`ll stopp your exercises . Be carefull .

Hmmmmmm! This is a good question. It depends of the training I have, I cand do in a good day when I eat great and all is going in a good direction,if I sleep all nine hours that I sleep almoust every day and if I eat proper in that day I can make eaven a hundres of push-ups once in one set,I forgotten to say to you that I`m a boy.

Wow dadedade ! You really can do that much ? one hundred ? i`m amaised . I would love to make just 50 , not 100 , but i really can`t do even thouse 50 . Just when i`m thinking of 100 push-ups, i`m tired . I just hope that with a litle practice i`l manage to reach my goal . If i`ll manage to reach 100 at a time, i`ll be more than verry happy .

I'm a boy and often went to gym when I studied in university. At that time I could do about forty to fifty push-ups continuously. But now, due to the busy work, I stopped going to gym and seldom do push-ups at home. So the number has reduced to ten to twenty. Generally speaking, how many push-ups can you do depends on the strength of your muscles and your weight. A slim guy may be very light, but it's more likely that the strength of his muscles are also limited, which means he could not do many push-ups. Those fat guys may have well-developed muscles, which are covered by heavy fat. Such advantage may counteract the disadvantage of heavy weight.

I am a slightly overweight male in my 40's and I probably can do about 10 push ups. I dont exercise like I should and I eat the wrong kind of foods thats why I am overweight and cant do alot of different exercises well like I should. I am trying to get on a exercise program and watch what I eat.

I was overweight too , but i decided that enough . I had 90 kg and my tummy was so big , that i couldn`t reach my foot . It`s was quite hard to get my adidas on . what i`ve done ? In a week, i just eat vegetables , just a few, and all day long fruits , but not too many , just enought to feel that i`m not hungry . Another step in my diet was to make 40 minutes of gym / day . In thouse 40 minutes, i never stopped . And in less than 10 days, i had 80 kg . I was amaised . I couldn`t belived that . Since that moment, i`m careful what i`m eating ,and how much .

I am 43 year old women who, can do at least 40 putting some boy/guys to shame. Not that I would want too... As push ups are just part of my everyday cardio. exercises ,they come easy.Wish I would have tried harder in school,I never made nationals .Oh well better late then never ,I am not sure how much weight has to do with how little or more you can do.I am pretty sure it comes from the muscles in your arms being able to hold your body weight. So in a sense ,I guess a heavy guy without some bulky work built arms could not handle the task as easy as ,a skinny guy who needs little effort to push up and down. I am sure someone will come along with some interesting statics for us to view.

I'm a girl, i don't go on the gym.And i can onl do 1 or 2 push ups. The only exercise i have walking exercise around the block, or miles of walking on weekends on the dales. I think it depends, some slim men do pushups more than fat, sometimes fat can do more push ups than slim, it depends of the practice. Happy myloting.

There are no such thing as "guy" or "girl" push-ups. There are just push-ups or half push-ups. There is no harm in girls doing regular push ups. It will help you develop more muscle strength, which everyone needs.

It’s really a question. I can not do any push-up in fact. I can not remember if I can do it before or not. When I was in school I hated one subject that was PE. I was never qualified for the request. It was my nightmare when we had PE exams. My classmates always helped me to pass them. Now I think the teacher knew it but they were very kind to me. If they were not kind to me I would have no chance to go to university. It’s one reason I don’t want back to students’ time.

That`s funny . i really can`t understend why you couldn`t make any push-ups . You should try to start on your bed , with your feel on the floor and the hands on the bed , or on an object that has at least 30-50 cm . That`s how you can begin because it`s much more easier than the old one, on the floor . After you`ll manage to do some on the bed, try some on the floor, and you`ll see that you`ll have some great results .

Hello delkar. I'm a girl, and I've never done push-ups in my entire life! I don't think I can do it. You see, I don't have a fit body. I've been gaining weight for the past couple of years. I don't know why, but I'm finding it harder to maintain a healthy body. Maybe I should start doing more exercises.

Too bad you`re not going to gym , and you`re not doing some exercise at home . I think that with 20 push-ups you`re a medium guy , because if you`ll practice more, you could maybe make 50 push-ups after a short time . You should prectice more, and make more sport , play sport games and so on . I don`t know that it`s a rule, that slim guys can make more than fat guys , because all that matters it`s the practice.

Too bad that you`re not going to gym . Maybe you would get a little fat . It`s nice to have friends that encourage you to make some sport and to join them as a team . i think that if you don`t have some friends to exercise with , you will not going to make it every day , or at least every week . You really do a lot of pushups . When i was youger , i was doing that much, but now, at almost 22 ,and almost 80kg , it`s harder to reach that number . i just can make 30 push-ups .

I'm a girl, and I can only do about 15 at most before my arms just about give out on me. . I occasionally go to the gym, about 1 time or 2 times a week usually. I'm not a hardcore exerciser, unfortunately (although I wish I was!), although even when I was super-active, I was never good at those push ups. . I prefer sit-ups, to tell you the truth!

I don't think I could even do a push-up? It's sad but why do we need to know how to do it anyway. I don't think I want to learn it. I tried it and it's hard enough. So no I can't do a single push up. :D
