Is cantonese difficult to learn?

I am trying to learn cantonese. May i know if it is difficult to learn?
I understand that local hongkongers might have no problem picking up the language because you speak the language everyday. But do you face any difficulties in learning the language?

i actually bought a cantonese phrase book just so i could learn cantonese... thing is, i don't know if i'm saying it correctly. i can read it, i'm just not sure if i'm pronouncing it correctly, or if the syllabication is right...hehehe
