Were you born on a special day?

Birthday Cake - Happy birthday!

I was born on the Chinese New Year's day in 1993, which means that I was one of the first Rooster babies! I thought that was really cool. So are you born on a special day? Or did anything happen on your birthday? Like any big, historical events? Don't forget, it has to be on your exact birthday though, which includes the year.:D

I got to be honest though even if my Birthday falls on Thanksgivings I make the whole meal because I have been cooking it since I was 10 years old and I just love cooking this meal. I do get a bit of help but I do most of the work. Then everyone pitching in too clean up after dinner. Thanks for the early Birthday wishes. Have a great day.

July 4th, 1987. I've had presidents die on my birthday and of course the Independence of the United States. Slavery was abolished. In 1861 there was a skirmish at Harper's Ferry, WV the state where I'm from. Other than that I'm not sure there was much more than that.

See...AmuletGirl! You are very special! Well, my birthday was just ordinary so nothing special really happened...it just that my mom believed I was special though and this was what all moms felt when they gave birth. Just to say to you that you are very blessed girl and that life has more in store for extraordinary girls like you...so be always happy! Take care.

I was born on a hispanic holiday. Cinco de Mayo, or in english its May 5th. I'm not hispanic but I enjoy celebrating not only my birthday but the holiday as well. There's a big parade and when I was in school we had a feista every year where everyone had to bring a traditional hispanic dish and we would spend the day celebrating instead of having class. It was really fun. Its kind of like an Independence Day

My birthday is the same as that of the first president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines. It also happens to be a holiday in one city here in the Philippines who was named after him. I grew up in that city and I felt very special because we always had no school on my birthday .

Yay! We are both roosters! Roosters rock! :D Well, I was born in Japan, and then went back to China and lived there for a while. I lived in Beijing. I still have a home there, because my dad stills lives in beijing because of his work. So I can go back to China and not worry about hotels and everything, which is nice.

It’s really interesting. I was born in the eve of Chinese New Year many years ago. So your birthday is one day later than mine.by the way in some particular year I have no birthday according Chinese Lunar calendar. To be honest I don’t like to be born at the eve of Chinese New Year. I feel I lost one reason to celebrate it. During the Chinese New Year people are all busy with the holiday. It’s easy to be ignored by them to celebrate my birthday, although they do remember the day.

I wasn't born on a special day, at least, not that I know of. But of course, my family thinks that it was a special day when I was born. Apart from them, I don't think there's anyone else who considers my birthday as a special day. Oh wait, there's my boyfriend, so that's one more person.

Well, in the country where I was born, they used to celebrate their National Day on the day after my birthday. So, as part of the preparation for the National Day celebrations, the whole country would be decorated with lights, floral arrangements, firewroks etc. So, by the time it was my birthday, everywhere I looked, the whole place would be looking like something out of a fairy tale. My parents re-assured me that the entire coutry was celebrating my birthday. As I was the center of my parents' world, I saw no reason to doubt what they said! It took me a while to truly understand what was happening. Still I'm glad for that little white lie that triggered off many happy daydreams in my childhood. So, my answer to your question is - yes, I do believe I was born on a special day:)

Well I don't think I was born on a special day that might have happen in the past. So far as I think my birthday is the special day for me. I was born on June 10,1993. I get the best out of it for at least one day to let everybody it's my day. It make's me happy that I was born on that day. :D

I am born on the May 13th... That sounds abit random and no special days to it. But i think, when my birthdays fall on the friday the 13th , it creeps the heck out of me. due to the fact 13/05 is 13th friday and is black friday, then again my birth date is 13/05... If its on a friday, that makes it double unlucky..... =.=" i dont think that is speacial day right? XD

not that I know of, but 10 years to the day one of my favorite TV shows started - Doctor Who - granted it was another 20 or so years before I discovered it, but it is a British program. We used to have combination birthday parties for it and me - not generally on the day, because that often landed during the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S., but the Saturday before it. We generally did costume parties - well, it was a Doctor Who Fan Club now wasn't it? And yes, I often went dressed as my favorite Doctor - Doctor #4 - or Tom Baker's Doctor... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Baker

hi amuletgirl, i consider the day when i was born a special day...for my parents for finally seeing me...on a serious note the date of my birthday is the anniversary of the social security system/agency in our country. it's not declared a natinal holiday but for those working in the said agency it's a big celebration for them and i have some friends working in there. so, as they celebrate their agency's anniversary they too remember my birhtday.

Yeah, I was born on the Christmas day in 1989.My mother said I's very weak when I's born and worried about whether I could live, at last I live now and have a good health. It seems that I's lucky to come to this world. So I appreciate this world very much.
