I've lied before to protect someone's feelings from getting hurt, but where do you cross the line?
Do you believe that white lies are innocent?

White lies, as I understand them, are not only inocent but show a great deal of caring for the other person. Mostly while lies are said to protect someone you love from being hurt. Sometimes it doesn´t work, but you do it with a good intention.
I suppose you talk of criossing the line, when the other person discovers you have lied and feels more hurt. But you can´t know that beforehand. So thy are still acts of love.
Take care!

I don't think you can call it "innocent" because you are aware of your own act. Philosophically,I believe it is morally accepted if a person lie for the good of mankind. It is only not acceptable if he/she lie for her/his personal interest. I lied several times to save someone and i find it justifiable.
