How Did You Get Such A High Number Rating In Such A Short Time?

Hi MyLotters
I was just curious as to how people in MYLOT reach such high rating numbers so fast?( I am speaking of the number thats next to the name in parenthesis) I do a lot of responding and I also create topics as well I have been with MYLOT since August of this year and I am in here responding and posting every day for a few hours each day and I am almost at the mid 200's mark .
I have gotten a couple of best responses and just about 100% of the time my star rating is 9 or 10 for topics and responses
I know that doing tasks and having referals boosts your earnings does it also raise your number as well? I would imagine it does I have seen people here who have been members for a couple of months and their numbers are like 1000 they must either have a lot of referrals or they are doing a heck of a lot of typing and spending a whole lot of time in MYLOT.
I like this site very much and I am not creating this topic to ruffle any feathers or accuse anyone of Milking the system or anything(although we know that it does happen) just would like to know how you reached such a high number so fast?
Also any of you out there who are in the several thousands how long have you been with MYLOT and what are you doing to incease your earnings besides giving quality topics and quality responses?

Hi Cheeryd!
The number beside your name ONLY increases:
- when you respond on a discussion startd by others
- when you comment for the first time on a discussion started by others
- when a discussion which you start receives 2 respones ( or 1 response + 1 comment.
All other activity earns for you but does not cause the number to increase.
The only way it will increase is by being active and posting. Nothing else affects it at all. Ihave been here over two years and am here almost every day though i don't count posts at all. I just repond or comment wherever I see something interesting.
I am curious as to know how anyone 'Milking the system' here as the only way to earn hers is by your own activity.

Thanks for the information its helpful I got that term from Mylot when I read the Terms of Service or either the FAQ not sure which one but it does refer to something along the lines of milking the system when people just bombard the forum with a bunch of non quality topics or try to post topics of the same nature in different catagories. I am sure I read something like that when I was reading the rules and regulations
As far as how the numbers go up I didn't realize that was how it worked thanks again I learned something new today

If you learn something new while you are having fun and your numbers are going up and you are earning too... what more could you want

Hiya Cherryd41...well as you can see, I'm one of those that has a large number next to my name...LOL, but then I've been here for three years. No as far as I know you don't earn extra points by doing tasks or having referrals but yes will earn extra money with them, and yes, do spend a lot of time here...uh, maybe too much time?

Thanks for the tip I really like it hear I have never seen anything like this online before I wanted to know all I could about how things work here other than reading the Terms Of Service and FAQ's but by the people who have been here a while and know their way around MYLOTfrom experience.
And yes your number is rather large but its all good
It shows you like this site just as much as the rest of us as you keep coming back to post after 3 years

Well, I have been an active member here going on 3 yrs. the middle of next month. I come in here and post when I have extra time, and will start new discussions, hand out Best Responses, etc. as well. Personally, there are always times when I am more active in here than at others, but as long as I am continuing to have Fun it makes it all worth while as well.
Your rating will increase in here by the amount of time you take to post back in here, start New discussions, etc. as well. Many times it may seem like things are going a little Slow but as long as you continue to have Fun that should be all that counts as well. Wishing you the Best.

I don't believe this will add your post numbers if you do task and have referals, the guys who have a high number with only couple of month will spend lots of their times in Mylot, larger than 12hrs one day? or else, these guys maybe is a very good writter and having a better English skills or comes from a native english country.
I am a member of mylot 3 years ago, but i never logon to Mylot until a few days ago, now I really find Mylot is a very funny website and I love to here vey much.

I really have no idea how they do it or how they rate it. it also took me months in getting a number ten, but as i can remember, i comment every discussions made from my friends and also to persons who are not my friends. I never give a negative comment or comments that would hurt the person's feelings.
