Hi leoliu
well talking about equality i think people are equal in terms of their capabilities, well but if you see it personally there are a lot of people different, in the way they think, react and show there feelings... despite all these we all are human and i guess that is what is supposed to mean we are all equal i mean, some people discriminate other people on the basis of colour, religion and other things... now that is something that still happens in todays world... we are all humans and we are same... such differences should be a basis for biasing anyone, we all have the same rights to live and the same power to say . . . .
have a nice day leoliu!

Well, when you look at things from the perspective in how the Bible teaches things, we are all created equal and in man's own image. It is just with all of our different upbringings and attitudes many of us tend to forget this simple matter and act like we are superior over one another, and let some of our own thoughts and ideas rule as well. Personally when you look at a person it is their personal upbringing that helps to determine who they will be, and where they will be, etc. so if more people would learn to treat everyone with some respect instead of a piece of paper things in the world would be so much better as well.

Hello
I believe we are equal when it comes to our rights and things of this nature, I usually have people say to me no one is better than the other, I find this is usually said by people who have issues and don't like to feel like they are lower then anyone else, well we are all different which is why we are called individuals.
Thank you.

.....Hi leoliu39, I tend to think that the only place we are all equal is in the sight of God. He made us all and we are in his image as people, I don't think there is any perference in his sight. That being said, on earth there are mearsurements by people's opinions and society as a whole as to the value of a human being, which in a lot of cases is superficial or vain at times. By that I mean, society values younger people more than older people, they seem to value men more than women i.e., the difference in salaries between men and women for the same job. They value minoriites less than other segments of the population. People who are smarter are held in higher esteem than those with less intellect. Someone who is a great painter is revered. Beauty is certainly valued more than homliness. So, I think everyone has some quality that makes them special as a human, but the measurements as to equality are varied in society and therefore I would say that all men are created, but not equal. Also, if by equal someone means two eyes, legs, arms, heart, etc., then I guess you could say, we are all equal as biologically being a physical being. Take care.

Personally, I think every single person living in this world should be treated equally, regardless of their status in the society. Everyone is entitled to a better living, respect, opportunity, etc. That's Social Justice!

I definitely believe in equality. Some people think that if you don't like someone, it is just because of their color. Or if you don't agree with their beliefs, that you are being prejudiced. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, and I don't think that you should be accused of racial discrimination just because you do not agree with someone.
Then again, I have been to the Philippines recently, and I don't think that they treat each other with the respect that they give to other people. I walked into the Super Market and was greeted (Good Afternoon Ma'am), whereas the Filipinos that were with me, were not given a greeting. Here in America, everyone is treated equal. It doesn't matter if you are from our country, or from a different country, everyone is greeted the same. And I think that the Filipino people need to learn to respect each other as well as they respect people from other countries.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the royal treatment that I received. But I felt bad for those who were with me, because they did not receive the same greeting.

Yes I believe that we are all equal. Just because one person knows more about math and another knows more about science does not mean that they are unequal but rather they are equal in different aspects of life. A person that is dissabled is just as equal as any other person, it is when we demand preferences that we become seen as unequal. Each person has something to give to society but they do not always do the right thing for society.I believe that many of the rich people in the world are treating others worse than the street criminals in that when they do things it can affect many more people than the street crimanals do. We need to make sure to punish people equal when they do a crime and that goes for the rich that even though they may never see their victums. They shoud pay as much porponatately as the street crimanal.

Yes are people are equal but were all affected by sterotypes, bias and prejudices. By what we see and hear certain images enter our mind.
Stereotypes are preconcieved ideas you have about a person before you meet them. Thes can be based upon what others said about them, what you see and hear and by the set of ideas that helps form in your mind.
For instance, many think that by my online name I must a women. Or when they meet me because Im 5'6 and speak proper english I must be a geek.
All people are created equal but genetics and environment influence greatly what we become.
If someone with the skills as a leader like the great Indian leader Tecumseh had been born in our time could he have achieved what President Obama has done? Most everything in life can be attributed to timing and balance (genetics and environment).
All people are created equal but I do believe there is a divine energy at work that influences but does not control our actions. This divine energy like the currents and the winds on the ocean push the waters to keep it flowing.
Divine energy flows by timing and balance to make the human current of life continued to flow. Yes we are are created equal but the key is how we connect to the spiritual energy that surrounds us.
This energy sustains humanity in their darkest times of growth and begrudgingly pushes us forward to a more just world and cosmos.

Theoretically speaking, all people are created equal. But in reality, it's just a dream and far from the fact. Those who are born in a rich families have a great innate advantage over those who are born in a poor families. Such inequality is unavoidable in a normal society. But it doesn't mean that we should ignore such inequality. A healthy society could do something to relieve such inequality. Firstly, the government should ensure that all people are treated equally before the law, whether rich or poor. In addition, education is a good way to change one's destiny, so the government should invest enough money in educational system, let every children especially those from poor families receive high quality education. In a word, we're unable to establish a outcome fairness society, but we should try our best to achieve equality of opportunity.

Good day leoliu and kykidd,
My name is Dean im from Philippines, yes, kykidd a lot of Filipinos are lack of respect they just respect those people who are in the standard level of high level, even though I'm a Filipino I am not agree of this doings.
For me people must be treated equally and evenly even though we are not equal in our standards, personality but in the eyes of the Lord we are all equal, each of us must have gain a respect, Because of our new generations a lot of children are not educated and learned about this respect, When I was in elementary we have the subject called GMRC or Good Manners and Right Conduct, but today some schools are not teaching these anymore, What happen to the world???? Because of Pride, Selfishness and Other Satan's doing people now are polluted by this. Respect comes first from the family then to the friends and so forth.
We must respect others so we can gain respect to others too, Because God said what you do to others, it will come back to you.
Have a nice day, Thank you
