I heard that there are companies is US are now rehiring laid off employees but I m wondering many companies in my country are actually shutting down and most of them are American owned companies.

People are still getting laid off, stores are still closing, and money is still being lost..But in general, I think we're doing at least a little better than we were last year. At least in the industry I work in (which is dry cleaning, but is also a pretty good measure of the 'business world', anyway - because of the uniform shirts and suits we get in), things have been looking up since last year. Last year was just..unfortunate. Everyone was cutting down, and so many people were out of the work-force that we really didn't have much business to keep us going. On the other hand, more and more people are bringing their things in to be cleaned & pressed these days - usually for work purposes, which indicates to me that more people are working and willing to spend a little on it.
