Is Outsourcing jobs overseas help the US economy?

i worked in one of the contact centers here in our country.in my point its really helping the the US companies because they take advantage of the low labor cost and even lower taxes offered by these countries. but on the other hand, it takes away job from US and that could be one of the reasons why Us employment rate is high.So whats your stand regarding this matter?

It seems telecommuting has favored countries with low costs of living.
Since corporate optimization requires the lowest cost to produce acceptable results, there is global "cut throat" competition for telecommuting jobs.
It seems not-so-rich countries will be producing the most competitive workforce in this global economy.
Fortunately for the US there will always be jobs that "can never" be fulfilled with telecommuting e.g. majority of health care and education for two.
