Yes, I am one of them. They know that God is always there for them, and that He makes sure we have what we need. They know that He heals them when they are sick. Most importantly, they know that Jesus came here to save us so that we can join him in Heaven with God when we pass on. Of course this is only a small part of what they know, but even I am still learning, and am sure that I will always be. There's so so much more to learn, for everyone. I'd raise my children no other way.

Yes Rosalyn, there are a great many that do this, and it is called,Brainwashing. All children should be allowed to find thier own path without being forced to except thier parents religious beliefs without experiancing all religions, and choosing thier own,( if any ). Thank you for the discussion.

You may want to call it brainwashing, but the reality is that when children grow up they do in fact, have their own experiences and make up their own minds. There's nothing wrong with teaching your own children what you belive in. Also, there are parents, I am one of them who don't force their children to do anything. I want my children to know God, no matter what format they choose to use.

how the world so mix up now kids should knew about god. because kids are leaving this world faster. and i think the parents should tell the kids and teach the kids about god and he's great works. childrens have souls to like we do and children can go to hell like we could to have you throught about that. so it is time for childrens to know about god. and you will never knew what good will come out over that! your child make as more and more question you never know. and it is not brainwashing it is teaching your child about god. but if you said it brainwashing you may not know about god.

I thank you for your comments,I spoke the way I do,as I was forced into both catholic and protistant religions by my grandmothers, they made a fight of it as my mother was from a stricked catholic family and my fathers was from a protistant family who's near ancesters were the heads of the church. I was made to go to st.mary's one sunday and the united church the next, this made me become an agnostic when I was finally able to get away from the family. At the age of 50,I finally have found my true path. I do fully believe that children should not be taught anything about religion untill they find out for themselves which way they wish to go. But,I am not here to condemn anyone for thier beliefs, you were all taught by your parents to follow thier way and that is what you were told to do,some have become fanatics, some just beleive. I do not believe is heaven nor hell, but I do have many Gods and Goddeses that I worship. I am sorry if I put you on the defensive.

I don't think I would be much of a parent if I didn't tell my children about God and Jesus and how to get to heaven. When I die I am going to see my children again and spend eternity with them and with God. It is my job as their parent to give them guidance in all areas of life including spiritual guidance. This world can be so hard and cruel, I hate to think of the child who is deprived of this. My youngest daughter just finished reading through the whole childrens Bible and now we are starting together in the adult version of the New Testament. Yes, thanks for the great discussion topic!

Yes, they do. My parents brought me up in their faith, but I chose it for myself when I was old enough to understand it, and after a time away from it where I studied other religions. I am not brainwashed, I came to an informed decision for myself. Frankly I have little else in common with my parents ideas about anything so I would have loved to go off and become something else...lol....but I came to the conclusion that I believed it was true. It is sad that so many criticize parents for bringing kids up to know about God, when there are so many people in the world who really ARE doing bad things to kids! If my faith wasn't my own I wouldn't still have it at 35. I'm not the submissive type!
