What would complete your life?

Hi Myloters,
Some people got everything in there life specially when it comes to material things. They have everything but for some there is still missing in there life. I feel the same, I got the material and the freedom of what I want to do but I feel like there is something missing in my life. I am often scared that I might grow old with this hole in my heart and not be able to figure out what it is. I have no children yet and my friends often tell me maybe its a child that is missing in my life. I am scared to have kids ab course because its big responsibility and also the fact that when I got kid what if this feeling of something missing in my life dont go away?
I dont know why and I dont know what is missing in my life. It just sometimes it really put me into that really sad moment not knowing what it is. I just feel like there something my heart want to make me completely happy but I cant figure out what it is.
How about you what would complete your life? Do you think Material things can complete a persons life?

Life's satisfaction depends on what your hearts desire. Many of us is in search of so many things that we forget the importance of love, family and friends. Contentment could not seem to go along with happiness.
What makes me happy is the the sense of acceptance. No matter how rich you are or how famous you can be this cannot seem to content me. I do mind the richness of the world I just want to be accepted without hesitation.
Unfortunately this is rare in my life. Sadly many people thinks that I am trying to fake it when I express discontentment in my life. Frankly what do they know?
Surely many can be done with money but can it buy love and respect?

My life is incomplete when it comes to material things, But I feel complete Honest! WHy? First, I have my family with me. And I love them so much. And I feel like God is always with me all the time, I mean, I have so many problems and trials in my life, But whenever I go to church and Pray. It just simply completes me. Eve, Have you tried calling to God or going to church?

Hi eve301345, let me try to answer your question by saying that it might be simple happiness that's missing in your life, and not some material thing, or a child, or anything else.
The thing is, we are always yearning for things, no matter what we have, because the things we have and thought would bring us happiness just don't live up to that expectation.
Happiness is very elusive, the weird thing is that we don´t need anything else than what we already have for being happy. We actually are beings that by our nature are happy, but we are like the fish in the sea, continuously asking 'Where is the water'. We tend to complicate things, instead of focusing on the blessings that surround us.
You might find happiness in the silence of your heart, in prayer or mediation. I don´t know, it works for some. Good luck to you!

Hi! it would help you to know that the richest and some of the richest people living today are also not happy with their lives. The more they have everything, the more they are insecured and unhappy. It's because one thing is missing in their lives - GOD. They have all the material things but material things only give you false sense of security and happiness. If you have God in your heart and always having time for Him, He will also have time for you to be happy with your life. BE CLOSE TO GOD AND GOD WILL BE CLOSE TO YOU.

hey fo rme material thing is very important or even money is very important for me i want money like anything if i talk about my personal life i dont need anything i have love of every one with me my family and friends and my job but you know job is a thing which in your life always give you feeling of not fully satisfied but ye suntill unless i am not in the position to open up my own business it is good for time being and to earn the basics for own self.

my life would be complete if my family is complete, since my husband works far from us and everytime he comes home then my life is feeling complete. There's always lacking if we are not complete especially in celebrating christmas.

Hi, eve.
In the current scenario, material things seem to form a big part in a person`s life, but they are in no way able to complete it. A person has some needs and fears that the person can not eliminate with money.
As for me, i have always dreamt of a world where everyone will love everyone else (seems fantasy but true). If it occurs, my life will be complete with no more needs remaining.

Just another point of view - I have always thought / believed that what makes life complete is the incompleteness. Let me explain - there is always something to look forward to, something to get, something to achieve, something to reach for - I guess that's why they came up with the usage - 'reach for the stars'.
But I recognize the empty feeling you are talking about. I know what you mean. It is my conviction that it is a God-shaped vaccum - a hole only HE can fill. I am borrowing the words of a famous speaker. You don't have to take my word for it. But I would suggest that you take some time (if you haven't already done so) and ask HIM to take away this emptiness.
You may be surprised at what happens.

For me I feel complete even though I don't have children and I'm not abundant of money. It because I'm worship the true GOD the Almighty name JEHOVAH it is the only way that you feel complete because he given the instruction to follow in your life and by trough that his holy spirit guiding you always.

Material things are just part of a completed life. Other factors like health, happiness, kinship and many more are also part of a completed life. As long as you feel that you are happy and contented, your life is considered complete. Sometimes simplicity is beauty. It really depends on how you look at life.

I don't think material things can really complete a person's life. Although you have every material thing you wish for, when the thing you're intended to be or your purpose here is not yet satisfied, then you will not really feel complete. As for you, you said you don't have kids. I don't think that kids will solve your problem because you don't really like kids and you're afraid of the responsibility. I hope you'll find your purpose though and god bless you always.

People are after the material world in the short term but when we grow old and reflect back in life it is the peace of mind and the satisfaction of living a good life is what matters to me. When i die i want people to remember me by my name and not just die like the Person in the Poem "The Unknown Citizen" by W.H. Auden. I want to be an ideal son, the best of friend and live up to the expectations of people around me. Be it material or peace of mind i want to achieve it before I die

I think material things just be part of our life not the whole life...maybe material life and spiritual life can form a complete life. now you have everything from material side, why not to try spiritual life?
I think one of your spiritual life is having a baby, seeing your baby grow up and make your baby to live a better life, what else could it be more achievement than give the happiness to your baby? maybe you will find that this is just somthing that your heart want to...

i can not say fully that material things can complete a persons life but i can say it can be a price of hard work. sometimes we are inspired to work when we are saving for something. it makes us to achieve and aim higher when we are saving for something. then when the day comes that we purchased that material thing that we are saving for its like a pleasure or a reward for ourselves. reward for the hard work we are doing. i have a cute three year old son and a loving wife that completes my life but there are material things that i am wishing to buy that makes me complete as well.

yes some people think of it that material things is their priority in life, and
it makes their life complete and without it they think they are not happy anymore..
but for me it's wrong, very wrong.. they are all spices in life and not
a priority of course..
in my case, my family makes me complete. they complete my life.. i don't care about the wealth around in earth, they are just a spices for me, i don't need it a lot..
but i also wish it sometimes that i can have them so that i can help more people and of course my family.. next to it is a good health, it is important to me, because if you don't feel so good, of course you can't do your job and you can't enjoy your life.. HEALTH IS WEALTH, isn't it??

I want the days of plain, but also the life of the plain in front of adding a phrase that is full of emotional life is as uneventful as they want.
A day home from work, grocery shopping, cooking, eating, laundry, Internet, chatting, sleeping, enrich, and enjoy life.
Occasionally and a few friends for dinner, drinking, singing, chatting, go home together to play a crazy night. Enjoy flat in the fun.
I am now the state of very satisfactory.
