Are you the first one out and the first one up at your house? Or do you tend to be getting to bed about the time the early bird wakes up?
I tend to be the latter of the two and find that people who go to sleep with the chickens really look down their nose at those of us who prefer the night. What do you think, have you felt like the odd man out due to the time you go to bed?

Well, I used to be a night owl. I would stay up rather late, go to bed and then either sleep late into the morning and then get up or wake up early and go about my day.
However, since I've started working 40 hours a week I've definitely turned into the type of person that goes to bed early and then wakes up early. I hate it though. I definitely enjoy having my own money and the independence that comes with working these hours, but I definitely hate getting up so early, working all day and getting home late in the evening. I'd rather not do it. I prefer staying up late!
However, when 10 comes, I'm pretty much tired enough for bed but I somehow manage to wait till 11 before I crash in bed.

Hello shewolf
Well i am a night owl, i never sleep early by night and stay awake late nights and talk to friends as well as do mylot late nights and even in day, and that is causing harm to my body i know but then its every months 15th and the hurry to earn and then, i have to slog for it.
I cannot stop doing even if i want because when i get my pay its just too late to go for next payout for next month and bigger tasks never get approved by me so i just stay slogging here whole time and i have to give away my nights too.

I am an early bird which is fortunate because my baby girl wakes at between five and half past six in the morning. So I usually go to bed between nine and eleven at night. I have to get up for my disabled toddler son in the night. I never like to have a lay in during the morning.

Hi, shewolf
I am a night owl. I am so energetic at night, I clean the bathroom, do a little laundry, watch tv and surf the net all at the same time. Luckily, my husband is the same, he is in front of his laptop till past midnight. So I am not alone during my nightly activities.
Take care!

Hi, shewolf! Since I have resigned from my previous job a few months ago, my sleeping time is very flexible. Lately, I have become a night owl. As I do some works online, I always do my work at night because my brain works better during that hours. Sometimes, my hubby and I will play darts and we normally do not realize that it is almost dawn! So, nowadays, I usually sleep very late and wake up very late also, and sometimes, I sleep very late, but I wake up earlier to do the house chores! I hope it will not be hard for me to change my sleeping pattern if I decide to go back to work based on office hours again.

Hi shewolf,
I am becoming both these days. Normally I like to be in bed early and then up early in the mornings as I really liek the mornings, but since joining mylot I have started to use the night more because it is the best time to just have uninterrupted mylot time. I still try and get up in the mornings, but there have been a few times when I haven't managed it, and I always wake up in a foul mood when that happens since I don't like the afternoon, so waking up in it doesn't work well for me lol
No one has ever looked at me odd for this, not even when I used to get up at 530AM or 6AM (I don't do that anymore). I think it makes people happy because it means I am keeping in some form of schedule lol! My brother is a night person though and dad doesn't like that about him. I love it though as it means my brother isn't around in the mornings so I have most of the house to myself lol
All the best,
Dranz

On work days I usually stay awake till 10PM and wakes up at 8AM. But on weekends I stay awake till 2 in the morning and will get of my bed by 11AM. I enjoy staying up late and waking up late. I prefer staying awake at night because the temperature is much cooler at night. I also enjoy watching DVD'd till wee hours in the morning. Watching movies at day time has a lot of distractions, so I prefer to do it at night time.

Im a night owl because of my many odd jobs to take care during night time. I usually sleep at 2:00 AM in the morning. But sometimes I sleep early if my body cannot handle all its weariness of the day. A mug of coffee is all I need to keep me awake till the wee hours of the morning. Owls have big eyes but mine has large eyebugs.

I used to go to bed at 10.30 when I was at school, then at around 12.00 when I was in college, at around 1.00 am when I started my first job....and after 6 years of my first job, I stay upto 4.00 to 5.00 am. Now it has become a habit for me to stay up till the early birds wake up.

I have had trouble sleeping over the last couple of weeks, so I have been the last one in our house to go to bed. I do actuallty do more in the mornings and would rather go to bed early to get up bright and early and get on with the things I need to do before the kids get out of bed.
I consider my early mornings to be my 'me' time.

Early to bed and early to rise is always good for healthy living. everyone should sleep for atleast 8 hrs a day . Also good to practise excerise in the early morning and evening. During exam times , Early morning reading will give better results.

Unless I have something to do, I won't be the first to wake up. I love to sleep in especially if it's during weekend. Besides, I am a night owl. I already sleep late at night. But if there's any occasion and require me to wake up early, I'll wake up earlier than anyone else, despite how late I sleep. I still managed to groggily dragged myself out of bed.

I am the same as you. I am more of a night owl than an early bird. I know it is unhealthy but I cannot do anything about it. I tried sleeping early like 11pm or midnight yet I just always lie in bed and still can't sleep. I sleep at around 1:30 or 2am. I get just around 4 to 5 hours of sleep everyday. I have to wake up early on weekdays even if I don't want to because of work. That is why I usually feel sluggish in the morning at work.

I would say that I am a night owl because I prefer working or doing things mostly at night. I have classes within the day but I stay up late because I believe I can get things done at night than waking up early in the morning to study or something. Even when I try to sleep early at night it just makes me lie in bed awake and think about different things. During weekends I usually go to bed at around 6 or 7 in the morning just because I surf the internet or watch DVDs.

Before, when I was still studying, I was usually the first one to go to bed since I wake up early for class. It's because I want to have at least 6 hours of sleep. But now, since I'm only staying at home, I am the last one to rest and usually the last one to rise up.
