well windows can only be installed on primary partition ,so number of primary partition is limited to 4 on a single hard-drive so you can install four windows os in a hard-disk but Linux can be installed even in extended partition and number of partitions in extended partition is unlimited as you can install as many Linux os you want in your system and i have no idea about other os .. but by using virtual machines you can install unlimited number of operation systems(including windows) on your system as long as you have necessary hard disk space. Happy myloting..

Usually a disk partition you can install a ah, it depends on how many partitions your computer, and will depend on how much area, the system partition size requirement Oh, installed two systems are common in general Oh, the so-called dual system.

the number of os does not depend on the number of partition u can install two os on a single partition by making entry of second on the one in the file of partition. The virtual machine has also a limit in linux the number of os depends on the space size of the / partition if you want to increase the space you have to create lvm and extend the / partition with lvm and increase the space of the / thus you can easily install os on the system minimum a os on virtual machine take 8.0 gb space on rhel6 i dont know about window but each virtual machine take 8gb / space and 512 mb ram space

Hey, Well I think that you can almost install all operating system on your PC, as long as the computer is good enough. You also need to have a huge hard drive that you can partition too, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have a slow computer. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

well i think almost limitless until you waste your hard drive's mb. you can usually create partitions in a single hardrive and one partition can have a single os. but i can be wrong

installing several operating system to your system is a matter of space factor, compatibility factor, and the sequence in which the operating systems are being installed. depending on these three factors, u can install as many operating systems as you wish to.

maximum three os can be installed in single pc.one can be used as a backend.remaining two can be used at a time in single pc while working.

This all depends on the specifications of your system or hard drive for example. You need to have enough space on your hard drive and you need to meet the minimum specifications to run two operating systems on your system otherwise it's not a problem generally. Andrew

I think you can instaal 2 operating system on a single computer..and it is also depend on your system's configuration..that is instal or not..because some operating system demand more powerful configuration...

As Prajnith rightly said, you can install four different windows operating systems and any number of linux operating systems provided you have a reasonably good system configuration. A reasonable system configuration would be consisting of a dual core AMD or core 2 duo intel processor (quad core is best and they too are very cheap now), 3 or 4 GB of DDR2 RAM, 500 GB or more of Hard disk space, and a good mother board which can handle all these. Of course a decent graphics solution also has to come in like nVidia 9 series or ATI Raedon 4 series
