If you had a web cam...

I would love to put a web cam on my sister’s cat. My sister is a not very responsible cat owner and does not allow her cat inside which I think is really mean of her but that’s another discussion LOL)! Anyway, Princess the cat wonders away from home for days at a time and I would love to see the world from her point of view for a while. I would also love my car to have a web cam on it so I could see who is responsible for all those dents and scratches I find on it after I have left it in the car park! If you could place a web cam anywhere you like, where would you put one?

I think it would be a good idea to put on a cat, just to see where they disappear to, too! I would like to see who puts all those door dings on my car in the parking lot, too! I think another good place would be around my sons neck, just to see if he pays attention in school or not.

Hi paula, I do not have any webcam but i surely do hope i had one. I would put up on myself so as to tell friends ok you been complaining of me not having a web cam , now have one and see my face as much as you want when we chat. Also i would like to place it on one very special person whose face i would like to see 24x7 even if it looks like i am intruding in to that person's privacy ( it is all thoughts ) and yes i would like to put webcams on our political leaders so we would be knowing whom they are selling our future to and for how much and every corruption they do would be out in open and every policy they make , would tell public how much they themselves benefited from it or how much they took from businessmen to make this law. So yes if i am allowed only one cam it would be politicians.

Come to think of it what we may discover by putting web cams on politicians may not be what we want to hear!

:) yes and if they knew they had a webcam then they would run the country hoinestly and wont ask for proof of their involvements in the various scams they do..esp our Indian politicians. They would shamelessly keep on going to court to fight cases which are as clear as water and when their govt comes they shamelessly make their own governmement to withdraw cases against them.

I'd need a few cams actually..... One would go in the washing machine so I could find out where all the single socks go; one would go in the wardrobe to determine the same in regards to hangers; and I'd probably put another cam in a tub of "I can't believe it's not butter!" so I can work out how the heck that yellow crap manages to imitate butter so well. Surely it has to let it's guard down once in a while? I wanna see that!

Thank you for the BR Paula! I tried setting up that cam in the butter, but every time I shut the fridge door, the light goes off and all I'm capturing is footage of darkness!

I look forward to your responses James, they are like no other! (LOL) You make a good point about the butter or whatever it is! Would love to know where those socks go too... Thanks for yet another masterpiece!

hi paula oh I know exactly where Iwould put a web cam in our room here as my roommate insists someone is taking her things, as in stealing, and she knows both of us lock the door when we leave. My feeling is That instead of anyone taking anything of hers, she puts her things in' different places then bit#hes because she cannot find them and says we need a camera to catch the thief. I still feel'she is her own thief. She just has moved some of her things and' cannot remember where she put them.

Well a web cam would surely resolve some of these problems. It would be nice to prove her wrong once and for all wouldn't it? It's not nice to be falsely accused. Thanks for responding Hatley!

THe one place i mainly have always wanted to have one is my sons daycare. I hate not being able to see what he does all day. THere are daycares that do allow that and then you can get online and watch your children. But none in our area. I would just like to check up on my son throughout the day.

Now that would be good! We have some centres here in Australia too who have web cams and mothers can log in from work and check out how their child is going. It should be mandatory in all the centres, I think. Thanks for the response jessi0887!

Hi Paula, I don’t have a web cam in my computer. I have one at home but it is not working properly. It would be nice if I get a good one. For answering your question, I would like to fit in front of our door because our news papers are getting stolen from there. We are in ground floor and newspaper-boy put the paper near to the door then knocks the door once if we get late then it won’t be there. So I am very curious to know who the culprit is.

If I have a web-cam, I would put it in front of my house. Last time, there used to be thieves stealing slippers, shoes and whatnot. We tend to put our shoe rack outside the home, and some would be missing. So if I could place anywhere, it would definitely be outside there.. And you would put on your sister's cat, lol..that's really cute, Paula..

You are definitely welcome, Paula.. Actually in some neighborhoods, they went more overboard; the thieves, I mean.. stealing undergarments, even. No kidding.. because some would hang their laundry outside their homes for more ventilation, so to speak.. those corridors.. ewwwwww... how sick, right those thieves could be..

Lol ,wow you are really a cat lover ,you would do all of that for a cat ,I am not much of cat lover myself but isnt that violating the cats right to privacy ,just joking cat.On serious note though ,do they make web cams so small to fit on a cat ?Another question though what would youdo if you found the person responsible for your dents ,I dont want anything to happen to you so please dont confront the person by yourself .Have a great day Paula.

Well it is all in fun...I don't know whether I would ever bother to physically put a web cam on my car although I would love to know who keeps denting it! (LOL) I think seeing the world from a cat's point of view would be fascinating but I don't like the chances of the cat tolerating one! Thanks for responding ronnyb, I appreciate it!

I would like to put up webcam inside our store. so I could see whose among my little nieces and nephew sneak in to get the crunchy curls and chocolates without asking for permission. Also, inside my fridge, as I often end up with no cakes left when I open it. My companion in the house eat it again. By having webcam on the fridge I could caught whose the one's responsible for raiding my fridge.

Hello paula, nice topic for discussion :) Well if it is i can fit my webcame in my sisters bag or somewhere, in anything which she carries with her then surely i would because she lies to me so much, That she is going for certain work but goes around with her boyfriend and lies me.Lol Or i would put it in my ex's bedroom to see how many girls he actually got to his room, and said to me he was never a flirt...jerk :(

hello Paula, I feel sorry for Princess but in my case, my mom wouldn't allow cutie to be inside that's why she would rather have her house out-side and stay in one place but it's raining now, luckily the roof is holding up and she has food to eat. i play with her most often.

That is nice that you take time to play with her. My two cats live indoors with me and never go outside that is why my sister and I don't see eye to eye about how we take care of our cats. Your kitty has shelter and food and that's fine. Thanks for stopping by LetranKnight!

HMMMM. I would put one on my nephew because he says some pretty funny things sometimes. I like your idea though. I have a male cat that is allowed to come inside but he disappears too. I often wonder where he goes and who he sees.

I agree with a previous post on this topic, it made me laugh as well. You have a lot of imagination. I don't like spying on other people but I think that if I had a surveillance camera, I would put it my pre-teener's room. There are some days when she locks herself in her room and would not even allow her younger sister inside, it makes me wonder what's causing all this grumpiness and secrecy. Sometimes, I think she has problems or is in trouble which is why I want to know what's happening. She might even talk in her sleep and that might give me clues.

That would be neat.. but i would like a little micro cam on my cat so I can see what he is up to and how he gets so hurt all the time he is constantly coming home with scratches and teeth marks on him ..seems he likes to live on the edge..but he recently was hit by a car and broke two legs..so he don't venture far from the porch now. I would like a cam put on my little sister for when she goes to school..so I can see the people that are picking on her..and have proof.

It would be neat wouldn't it? Putting the cam on your little sister, that would be useful if the poor thing is being picked on! A cam on the cat is a popular choice, it is a mystery what these felines get up to! Thanks for stopping by mtdewgurl!

Hi paula, we're housesitting in Castlemaine, and the owners here have a cat. She comes in when she want's to and tells us when she wants to go out. I have had cats in the past, and could never think of them not being allowed in the house. However, if I could place a webcam anywhere, I think I'd chose a bird. Maybe a kookaburra, or eagle, but one that rises high, and covers a long distance. Having said that, I'm not sura a kookaburra fits the bill.

I know what you mean though...It would be a fantastic sight to watch the view when the bird is in flight, some types of birds do travel a long way; it would be fascinating to find out where and how far they go. Great response, thanks mipen!

If I had a web cam, I would like to install it somewhere at the back of the classroom to see how many of my students are absent-minded playing with their cell phones and then I would walk over to them and have them place their cell phones in their desks without playing with them any more, but listen to me and other teachers carefully in class.

I would love to put a web cam every where in our house but for our eyes only so I can see who the hell it is that's peeing on all of my throw rugs! We have 10 cats and 4 dogs, all are able to get outside when ever they want to through the kitty/small doggy door but yet, someone is peeing on my throw rugs in which I'm having to constantly wash them. We did it once when our dogs that have passed over the Rainbow Bridge, to see who it was that was eating the cat food that was put on a table high enough that they couldn't reach it unless they jumped up on it with their front feet. Needless to say, we fixed that problem but that was years ago but it seems we're having to have to do it again. I wonder where our video camera is these days..... lol Got any ideas? LOL

Now that would be useful to catch the culprits! It really would be a good idea. I saw a TV show where a camera was placed in someone's house to see what the two dogs who were left alone all day were getting up to while the owner was at work, it was funny and interesting to watch!
