Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano has been playing very well since joining the club. My question to all football fanatics is, Should Cassano be given another chance to play for his country again?
Yes, he might have problems in the past. But over the years, the former roma and real madrid attacker has matured and is getting better and better. Italy needs him, so my opinion is, give him another chance to prove his worth!

Cassano is without question the most gifted Italian of his generation. I agree, given the chance he will once again be a star of world football.

He's a brilliant player, plus having some controversy in the Italian camp may not be that bad, considering the lack of characters in the squad.

Cassano has improved his game and his attitude, personally I would love to see him playing for the Italian national team. Believe me cassano and pirlo combination would make Italy actually plays some mouthwatering football. Yes he has a bad temper, but he looks mature this days, i think Lippi might just wait and see will cassano stay consistent if he is than he could get a call up.. It's better to call him rather than Pepe or Toni who fails to deliver for the National Team

Having watched him play for Roma I believe he is a great talent, I have heard things about him having an attitude problem but I have not heard anything to back that up, some players just get lumped with it unfairly. His problem with the national team is he plays a similar role to Francesco Totti who is one of the best players of the last decade or so. Antonio Cassano is not an out and out striker so again loses out to the likes of Inzaghi.

I believe he should be in the squad as he is far better than some of the players whon are currently in the squad. He's actually 27 years old. 15 caps and 3 goals is not what he would want but the national team is certainly something he should want to strive for.

Agree on that. Players like totti are definitely more experience and better than him. But consider this, totti and inzaghi are already in their 30s and cannot offer a whole lot more on the fast paced international scene. Cassano is only 28. He's the man to slot into the role where del piero and totti has occupied for the past years. Lippi should consider building a younger squad instead of keeping the older players.
