Well i do... a lot! i drink a glass of cold water after some sweets and that feels so right, i dunno but each time i have some sweet or something very sweet i have to drink some water and preferably cold water.
what about you ? feel the same way after having some sweets ? or something else, anything else that makes you thirsty ? what is it ?

I feel the same, thirsty after eating sweets and also salty things. I think it is normal, the brain is telling you to dilute your intake because it is too sweet or too salty. I even find the Coke bland after eating a chocolate. That's how sweet these things are and defnitely have to be washed down with water.

Sweets will raise your blood sugar, and high blood sugar can make you thirsty (which is why thirst is a symptom of diabetes). You might actually want to get checked out as to whether you're diabetic or pre-diabetic.

I can't eat any meal without a drink with me. It feels weird as I like to take small bits of my drink while I am eating. It is especially the case for things like chocolate and canned soup as these have alot of sugar in! If I want one of these things I will only eat it if I know I have a drink handy otherwise I shall be very thirsty! It has to be a water based drink though, not something like a fizzy drink!

Hello kitty
glad to see you here . . . hmm looks like it is not a common thing so i didn't get many responses, yeah i may be my body tries to imply that i am having a lot of sweet, i will try to eat less sweets, btw i have them only at home, i don't take them when i am at my hostel so i think that should be ok . . . it's raining here, have a nice day kitty!

Have an eating habit that I should drink water for any food I eat especially if its too much. Whether too much sugar, salt, junk foods or anything at all, I make it sure that I drink one or two glasses of water. It will help my digestive system flushed any excess vitamins and minerals I've eaten. I also teach this habit to my kids.
