Yes I read about that today. Isn't that amazing?? I think I'd freak out in the beginning. I can't image being pregnant with two babies that are at different states in pregnancy. Apparently she got pregnant 2 1/2 weeks apart. Weird huh? Here is a link with a little on the story: http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474977824790

It is extreamly rare i now of onr other lady that has done this she is my aunt. She got pregnant with one child and the 6 weeks later got pregnant with another. The only wierder thing bout my aunt is both of the babies have a diffetent father. Whene my mom told me thisi was mind boggled it is so wire i can understand that they would have the same father but different dads so wired. At least her babies will be healthy. Sennding luck out to her.

oh my is this really true? how come the doctors didn't noticed that there is another child inside the womb while in the first place. I have no idea that this thing could really happen. It's so incredible!

I understood that this can happen commonly enough with Cats, but until now wasn't aware of it happening often in Humans..You can certainly Learn something New every Day!
So a Woman could get Pregnant by 2 different Men around the same time? wow...

It is not that extremely rare. Many fraternal twins are conceived that way. I have younger brothers who are fraternal twins. Because of the circumstances which included significant birth weight difference it was concluded that they were likely conceived a whole cycle (28 days) apart. They are both healthy but physically as different as can be. They are so different that when we line up all five of us brothers people who do not know us cannot guess which two are the twins.

I have heard of cases where two separate conceptions happened within days of each other--occasionally by different fathers--but not weeks. It usually happens when an extra egg is released during ovulation--this is, after all, how fraternal twins are conceived--but just a bit later. In this case, they are still considered twins because they were conceived so closely together, and this is how twins by different fathers...happen. It happens so incredibly rarely, though.
That said, I have NEVER heard of a woman conceiving again after she's been pregnant for 2.5 weeks. This must be insanely rare.
