Is Triond really this bad?

I have 11 comments (only one is by me) and 12 likes and only 2 cents! I did all this promoting and what not which took up a lot of my time and TWO CENTS?! When I joined, people said that over time I could make more than 250 dollars a month. TWO CENTS?! Plus they ask for first publication. I could make more money with Google AdSense, couldn't I (by page views, not clicks)? Sadly, it is the only other site that accepts my age (look at my profile). If you don't believe me with the comments and likes: http://authspot.com/poetry/rhyming-poems

That is a bit odd, i am getting about 30 cents per month per article and i don't even got a lot of comments. I think this website is great for me and very good for amateur writers. If you don't like it you should try another website, there are thousands out there. I couldn't believe you make just 2 cents with so many likes and comments. have a nice day

Thanks. As I said before, I am under 18. So most sites won't let me join. Of course, I could lie! But then all my work could be gone at any given time.

I can always lie about my age but if I am successful and earn a certain amount of money they'll talk to the government and I'll be banned.

There are other sites that are far better (IMO) and I don't use Triond. If you're a confident content write join hubpages (link on my profile) and start writing/earning there. A woman joined recently that started earning within a month (around $50 I believe) because A) she hit a great niche and B) she participated in the community right from the start. The thing is - now she's earning it will only increase, providing she leaves her work visible to the search engines. Plus your published content is your own, the site has no claim over it. I don't know your age by the way - you need to be 18 and over to join.
