My colleague was late for work this morning as her alarm did not work due to out of power. She said it is almost impossible for her to wake up on time if without an alarm clock. What about you? Do you rely on the alarm to make you up or you have a good biological clock that you even do not need an alarm in your bedroom?

Haha...I always wake up on time at workdays. I don't know why. But sometimes, I cannot. But to be on the saft side, I usually setup alarm on my radio, it will turn on by itself then, then I can listen the weather forecast and news, it makes me awake more and more.
I seldom use cell or alarm clock, even if I would do, I don't put them beside my pillow, becasue my friends tell me it's easy to make them silent and go on sleeping. And some of my friends, they have several alarm clocks and put them far away, that means, if alarm clocks ring, they have to get up to turn them off. It will make them awake completely. Otherwise, they will turn them off easily and it's useless.

Haha... I am the same as your friend. I set my alarm in my cell phone, it rings every 10 minutes, sometimes I was too sleepy and turn it off in my dream...
Anyway, I do not have this problem now. My son is living with me now, and he get up very early, much early then the time I have to get up. So I do not need to set my alarm anymore.
Thanks for your response and have a nice day.

Frankly speaking, I can't karen . If without alarm, I either wake up earlier or later. It's really irritating if get up too early in the morning. It seems like I have lost the sweet dream time. We all know obviously how comfortable it is to have ample time enjoying sleep, especially in the early morning!
Oh Gosh! Waking up late is the pits! I have to get all sort of things ready in a rush Plenty of mistakes would occur for sure doing thing in a hurry. I don't possess a well body clock. Definitely I have to dependent on the alarm to wake me up when necessary
Have a nice day and happy posting!

I think my biological clock is defective. I always need an alarm. I use the one on my cell phone so if the power goes out at night it doesn't matter. My husband can wake up without one. I don't know how he does it, especially since he has to get up really early for work.

I wake up 20 minutes before the alarm every SINGLE day. I wake up at the same time on weekends. Even though I don't have to get up. THis has always been this way, even in high school. I hate it!

Waking up when you have to go to work doesn't sound to bad, but how frustrating to not be able to sleep in! I love the weekends for that reason! Sorry. Maybe some one on mylot will have a tip on how to have the internal alarm only when you want it.

Hello, Harmonee& archie, I know a person, she always need alarm to wake her up at the weekdays, but in weekend, most often, she wake up early without an alarm. That is really annoying, as she is able to sleep late in the morning of weekend but she just can not fall into sleep again. Thanks for your response and have a nice day.

Hi Karen,
I need to set up the alarm in my cellphone daily prior to getting to bed otherwise I will be late to get on work the next day.
Everybody says there is a biological clock inside your body, but I would like to say it is the customary clock that you suggest yourself continuously, and it needs time to form the biological clock.
As for my mum, she never set the alarm daily but can get up at a very puntual time there except she did not feel very weel that day. I think her biological clock takes effect.
How convenient and lucky that we can have an alarm in the morden society that we dont' need to worry about being late:)

Hello, Sasalove, I guess you are right. Maybe we are too much relying on the alarm and our biological clock are becoming lazy and finally lose it's function. Yes, I like this also, as I believe the alarm must be more punctual than ours, and with it, we can have a reassuring sleeping. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Always need an alarm clock to wake me up in the morning. =) I have to make sure before going to bed that it is properly set-up. Sometimes, even with the presence of the alarm, I'm still late. Guess, I'm really lazy =))

I use an alarm clock that uses batteries. I don't like the electric alarm clock becasue if the power goes out you can't wake up. I do rely on the alarm to wake up. If I don't hear the alarm clock I don't wake up. Sometimes it take me a bit to hear the clock alarming and to wake up.
Happy Mylotting

hi!
i can't even rely on the alarm, it keeps buzzing and i keep sleeping... i only wake up when my mommy shakes me up...
well, there are days when i have to wake up very early in the morning i.e anytime which is before my mom's wakeup time, on such days i sleep with a tension in mind and wake up by myself, before the alarm rings.

Hello, Hireshd, wake up at a certain time if you want? It sounds a miracle to me. Will you then wake up several times at night or wake up much earlier than your desired time?

There was a time in my life when I was able to always wake up on my own without an alarm clock, but I can't do that anymore. Now, when it comes to waking me up in the morning, I need to have not just one alarm, but two. I think a big part of the reason that this has changed for me is because I am a mother now and am used to listening for the kids and thus not really sleeping soundly. So, when I finally do get into a deep sleep it is time to wake up. I use my alarm clock and my cell phone's alarm to wake me up.

Hello, Dorannmwin, I am a mother also. I have the same feeling as you, as I have to get up at night to feed my baby son. I feel so tired, I always got up only at the second sound of my alarm. Have a nice day and happy mylotting to you.

It depends. If I have some important affairs to deal with tomorrow morning, for example, taking examination or attending an important meeting, I could almost always wake up naturally at the time I anticipated. The error is not more than one minute. But such phenomenon only occur in such circumstances. If there's nothing important tomorrow, I could not wake up on time without an alarm clock. I guess there exists a complicated mechanism in my brain which could prevent me from abusing this magical function.
