Hi leahsmom. If the main problem is house training.. getting her to not go to the bathroom inside the house... the best way to train them is crate training. Get a dog crate that is big enough for her to lay down in, but not so big that she can do her business in it and get away from it. Dogs don't like to be near their own mess, so they won't do it in the crate. Anytime you're away from home, or overnight while you're asleep put her in the crate. Give her biscuits or some type of treat to let her know she's good for going in the crate. When you get home or get up get her leash ready before you let her out of the crate, then immediately take her outside. When she does go potty outside give her lots of praise! While you're house training you have to watch her very closely when she's loose in the house, and anytime she even looks like she might be going to go grab her and take her outside. If she's already made a mess don't scold her... just take her outside. Dogs really do respond better to praise when they're good than scolding when they're bad. They just want to please you. If you're patient and keep doing this she'll start going to the door when she needs to go out, and you'll both be happy!
