I don't want to be the "weird lady who gives dumb stuff to trick-or-treaters". So, what is your favorite candy to get while trick-or-treating? Brand, flavor, size, appearance, blah, blah, blah. And parents, what is your favorite treat to hand out?

Hmm Your preparing for Halloween already! How nice! Well since im a kid:D i would love to eat chewy candy. Where i live people love starbursts:D Also if you get a hard kind people also love jolly ranchers. they are so good!!! The whole jolly rancher set tastes good.

My kids LOVE chocolate, skittles, stuff like that. As a parent, I like candy that I've actually seen before (as opposed to stuff that looks like it was bought on an Alien Spaceship a hundred years ago). Sometimes the kids get some weird kinds of candy, and I'm not talking about like spider gummy candy or pretend body parts candy, that's ok but just some of it, I've never heard of it, they have weird wrappers, etc.

My kids love the little candy bars, like Snickers, Twix...and also Skittles and M & M's! I don't like it when they get mints or hard candy, just because I'm silly and don't want them to choke on them!! Even though my kids are 8 and 4. Oh fruit snacks would be good too!! I like to give out the same type of things, stuff that I know for sure kids will like!

Kids just love the chocolate and not the cheap stuff. They like the reeses and snickers and milkyway. Those can be costly. I usually take a big bowl and fill it with some of the good stuff and use the cheaper stuff for fillers. At the beginning of the night, I hand out the candy as I never know how many I'll get. I don't want to turn anyone away because I run out. As it comes to an end...I just let them grab for whatever they want. I try to have a variety and hand 2--3 pieces to each kid. It all depends on how many kids you have in your area. I have a ton of kids in our neighborhood. If you live in an area where there are fewer kids then you can be a bit more generous. I would ask a neighbor to get an idea on how many kids to expect.
