Why sometimes history repeat itself?

One of my aunt get pregnant out of the wedlock so she got married early and experienced the worst consequences of her actions. She swore that it would never happened to her children. So she was quite strict with my cousins she never allowed any suitors as long as they're still studying. But one of her children is quite pretty and have few suitors, so my cousin secretly kept her relationship to her family. Until one day, my aunt found out that she was pregnant, everybody was really surprised except me. And indeed history repeat itself. When history repeat itself, who's to blame?
