I love to cook and I have many cooking ingredients in my pantry. I always make sure that they are always available whenever I cook. Aside from salt, pepper, oil & herbs, what other ingredients that are always available in your pantry?

flour, sugar, baking powder, yeast... cheese, pasta, eggs, milk. More than that, really, but I keep a well stocked pantry and don't want to list my entire inventory.

I always try to keep tomato sauce or paste, mustard, sugar, flour and vanilla extract in my pantry. I'm not even sure why, but let me run out of those things, and I'm off to the store to get them. It's almost like my kitchen is naked without them. I do from time to time use all of those ingredients in various dishes. I can't uncover why I have to keep them on hand though. Weird huh!

For me, I'll always have eggs, salt, pepper, oil and soya sauce. The reason as to why these are the five most important ingredients to me is because I normally have eggs as one of the ingredients of those dishes I cook and also whenever I'm hungry and want to just have something light or some snacks, I can just cook fried eggs, hard boiled eggs or omeletes to either just eat it as it is or make sandwiches with them.

We always have some kind of pasta noodles and some jars of sauce - this is the perfect meal when we are lazy! We also stay stocked up on cereal all the time - the perfect "healthy" snack, better than ice cream at least! And it even becomes dinner sometimes too :) I always have to have soup too. I get sick on the drop of the hat and I need my soup to feel better! Finally, Peanut Butter and Jelly are always in our house. It takes us a long time to go through these things but I actually had a sandwich for dinner tonight!
