im talking about your doctor asks do you use any drugs and you happen to smoke pot but dont mention it because you dont want to get in trouble, or your young and your doctor asks if your sexually active and are too scared to tell him.

My doctor and I are very close. He's absolutely excellent! I feel completely comfortable with telling him the truth about everything. He's very open-minded, so that helps as well.

yes it definetly helps to have the right doctor, if your comfortable with him and tell him all then youll get the best possible care he can give you, doctors cant treat us properly if they only have half the story

I won't even let my doctor weigh me. I keep track of it myself, and I don't think anyone else needs to know what I weigh.

in that case i would agree as long as you are within a healthy range, if someones very underweight or overweight than i think the doctor needs to be able to keep track in order to be able to help properly(or chosen medical or health proffesion, i realize some people prefer to consult with health care proffesionals who take a more natural approach than modern medicine does) thanks for response

I haven't seen a doctor in over 30 years. I take responsibilty for my own health. I know my own body better than any doctor ever can. Also, I know doctors do not tell the truth. They are not allowed to. There are over 100 cures for cancer, but a doctor is not allowed to talk about them, because the FDA refuses to have anything to do with alternative cures.

i see one because i dont feel like ive educated myself to the point of being able to do it on my own and applaud you for taking responsibility for your own health. i also agree there are things they dont tell us, for many reasons (loss of revenue by actually curing people, also fear of mass panic if we really knew about some things really going on) thanks for response +

I believe doctor's are oblivious to the truth. They don't know anything. They are against certain medications and health drinks because they serve as a threat to doctors' careers, even though these certain medications and drinks can save many lives.

i had mentioned that many people choose alternative health care proffesionals who take a more natural and open-minded approach to healing than those practicing modern medicine do so do you use someone else for your health care needs or do you manage them yourself? thanks for response +

I'm past that stage, but now must tell the truth to avoid more serious prolblems like high cholesterol, heart disease, etc. Always best to tell the truth to somebody you trust....

I have several health problems and not disclosing everything that happens would prevent her from treating me accurately. I don't believe anyone should hide things from their doctors - they can only treat what they are aware of.

Yes I do. I feel if you are going to the doctor for a treatment and you don't tell them the truth then it just takes that much longer to firugue out what is going on.

I tell the doctor everything for my protection so he can give me proper meds when needed. You have no reason to hide anything from your doctor they are suppose to keep it confidential or at least they do here.

I used to lie about smoking pot to my doc until I mentioned it to him, and he had to change my medication so it wouldn't interfere with my "recreational" use. It was for the better. I have lied about sexually active cause I dont want anyone looking down there without doin anything
