Hi friends ... I like named my cat with black, because the cat have black skin. So its very easy call the cat with the name and easy on the mind. How about you ? I want to know, whether your reason to name your cat. Are you named the cat for their color? or you named the cat with your friend nick name ?

My cat's name is Zeebaw and I named it so because I loved the name so much I once heard that when my nephew who was just two and a half years old started to talk and he said something like that so I was loving the way he was telling the name and then I put it to my cat.

Well my cats are Oreo and Tiger. Oreo is a black and white cat,and tiger is a tiger cat,the kind with the grays, browns and black colors all mixed together in stripes? I named them based on their fur color. But I have had cats in the past and I named them things relating to their personalities.

I had a cat named "Tiger" one time. I didn't name him this, though. The lady who first took him in named him. He wasn't the color of a tiger. He was solid black with a little white on him. I guess it was his personality that made her think of a tiger. He was a beautiful cat! Kathy.

Mine sure has a one of a kind personality and the name seems to fit not only her coat but also her personality too.

I have had 3 cats.....My 1st cat had to be put to sleep because he was hit by a car while out prowling the streets...His name was Maximus....I wanted a unique name for him so that is why I chose that... My second cat was name Jepordy.....The reason for this name is my sister like the unique name for my first one so much that she said I had to try with this one....My son gave my second cat his name... My third Cat was running out of unique names he is a black cat with white on him as well.....But if you look close at black fur in the light he highlights brown his name is CoCo....

My cat's name is Jasper. I rescued him about a month ago and he had already been given that name. He's all black.

It's funny you should mention the name "Jasper" because that happens to be the name of the town I'm from. I live in Jasper, Alabama. There is also a Jasper, Georgia, a Jasper, Tennessee, a Jasper, Texas, and I understand there's a Jasper, Wyoming. He sounds like a beautiful cat! Kathy.

I've just adopted a black kitten and was stuck for a good name for him until my sister suggested that I called him Shadow. I liked that, as you can hardly see him when he's in shadow and also he follows me about like a shadow. A good name I think.

I've got a lot of cats now, and I've had a lot of them thru the years. I have never named one because of their color - well, I named a "blue" cat Silver once, but was actually naming her after a character in a story. Now, we named Zhaan that because she's another blue cat and Zhaan is a blue alien in Farscape... But one cat came to us named Blackie and we changed it to Sassy, because, while she is indeed black, she's packing about a dozen cat's worth a attitude in her little old body (we think she's 18.) So, just so you know, I have included all my current cat's names... Sassy, Scamp, Shooting Star - Star, Rio, Timus, Taj, Chevron - Ronnie, Gabrielle - Gabby, Gizmo, Ping & Pong, Solo, Rygel, Oliver, Booboo, Chalube. Kit, Rock Star - Roxie, Tuti and Nefer, Frankenkitty - Frankie, Antonio - Tony, Zhaan, Blossom, Flower, Brat, Jumper, Scoot (a/k/a Thing One and Thing Two) and Jool, more or less in age order

BLack?? THat sounds simple, and yet cute enough too.. hehe ^_^ After all, it suits your cat, as it's really black.. lol =D I dun have any pets, and thus i wont have names for them.. hehe ^_^ As for my frenz, they give names to pets, according to things they like, or even family car names.. lol =D NO matter what name u give to your pet, it's will always be their name, only unique to u ^_^

I have a gray and white cat who is nine years old now. When she was a kitten, our Italian Greyhound dog, named Sophie, took care of her. She carried her up and down the stairs, helped to train her to use the litter box (the dog is litter-box trained) and they slept together in the dog's bed until the kitten grew older. I used to refer to her when talking to the dog as "your baby". I would say, "Go get your baby! Where is your baby?" So, I named her Your Baby, but we mostly just call her Baby.

my current cat was adopted. so he already had a name, and i didnt want to change it and confuse him. so, i gave him a middle name, d'arcy. i just said different names with his first name until one sounded right together. plus, i looked at his face, and for some reason, he looked like a d'arcy. i usually pick pet names because of the personality. but sometimes the name just sounds right and fits the face.

My cat's name is Sky because she is a white as clouds and her two ears are grey and her tail is grey. She is so cute. And really smart. We named her baby 'Little Miss Lady' She is a carbon copy to her mom, but a prissy cat. And with long long legs and tries to be ever so dainty.

I called one of my cats scooby because I hadn't a "scooby" what to call him, another called Buttons because he was all white with one round black marking on its coat that resembled a button. Another cat was called BoBo after my favourite soccer player at the time, another called Muffin because it liked to try and steal Muffins when it was a kitten. Fred is called after Freddy Mercury because my man is a big Queen fan, Ally after a soccer player in my mans team and Ginger can be called anything because it is deaf and has a ginger coat. Margaret

I haven't had a cat in a long time but I have named my cats, or any pet I've had for that matter, according to what color they are. I have named my pets after celebrities. I have also named them according to their personalities. We had a solid black German Shepard Dog one time that I named "Blackie". I also had a dog one time that I named "Elvis", after Elvis Presley. I have a horse now that I named "Cyrus", after Billy Ray Cyrus. The little dog I have now is named "Prissy" because she is very prissy, lol. I didn't name her, though. The little girl who owned her before named her. Kathy.
