Mostly my hand busy doodling on the piece of paper when I'm on the phone. Probably originally because I haver to write down important information, like phone number or address or the date. And after that I just can't stop doodling, until I hang up.
Right know, I just "admire" my doodling job when I was on the phone this morning.
I made a lot of square shapes, spiral, even I made the beach ball...hahaha...
Do you find yourself busy doing something else too when you are on the phone?

Sometimes I do end up doodling, but most times I try to stay focused on the conversation I am having. This is because when I am speaking to someone on the phone I can always tell if they are distracted, and so I don't want to be distracted myself if I am talking to someone. I can't stand it when I am speaking to someone and they are on the internet at the same time. That's very annoying!

I always multitask when I am on the phone. It used to be doing a lot of doodling, but now I am usually on the computer at the same time that I am on the telephone. So, I will be doing small tasks or scrapbooking while talking to someone on the computer. This is both a good thing and a bad thing when I really think about it. It is good in that I am not wasting productivity time, but it is a bad thing because sometimes I get really involved with what I am working on on the computer and will zone out from who I am talking to on the telephone.

I could not do multi-tasking while on the phone as it is very sensitive any extra sounds could easily heard by the other person whom you are talking on the phone. I find it disrespectful not paying enough attention to the caller as he may heard the sounds I created.

Even though I am a women I find it really hard to do 2 things at once. If I am doodelling then I will be really aware of what I am doing and not be able to focus on what the person on the phone is saying. I worry alot when I am on the phone so I guess I find it hard to relax to the point that I could do something else at the same time. Even when I am talking to my boyfriend with who I feel comfortable speaking to on the phone I can't do anything else as I am unable to keep the conversation going.

hello ibuemma,
i wish i could do something else rather than talking on the phone. but, i don't do anything when i'm on the phone. i'll just seat and talk to the person on the other line till such time that it's done.

I love doing that too! Normally I would draw circles on paper, or just coloring boxes and stuff like that. And lately, I've been drawing alphabets and coloring them, LOL. I don't know how to explain it. It feels like the brain is moving when the hand's moving too. So we can both ^^high five^^ to this habit, I'd say..

I tried to do so once, but my friend from the other side asked me if I was not feeling very well or else, it means my dialogue became not focus that other people just know it. After that, I rarely do something as I am calling or receiving a call from someone. Even when I am intending to do a long chat on the phone with my friend or relative, I will tidy up my room a bit, drink a glass of water, sitting as comfy as possible, then starting to call. I make sure that I don't have to do anything as I start the connection. Well, that's me :)

I like to play a pen in the hands. Use it to beat elsewhere or dood on the piece of paper. I don't know why i have this habit, everything is so natural, just a subconscious action. May be each person has his particular habits while on the phone.

Its depend on different situation.
If I am in home at my desk, then I write down the things which is talking over the call. If i am in a long time call, I use to have some chips or spicy snacks.

I get distracted easy while I'm on the phone. I hate when the people who are speaking try to tell you something important. I am a easy forgetter too. Than again I wish I had a way to get rid of it. It's not easy listening and trying not to do something that will get you away from listening to them.

Well, when I'm on the phone, I always try my best to focus on it and avoiding doing something else. But in case of emergency, I always do something 'emergency' while I'm on the phone. SOmetimes, I eat while I'm engaged on the phone. =) It's not good and for me it's pretty annoying. It's very important for us to focus on the phone, especially if the call comes from our boss, supervisor or whatever, so we can really know what's happening. =)

I am a multi-tasker by nature, so it is very rare for me to only do one thing at a time. When I am on the phone, I am normally also on my computer or doing some other activity. If it is not the computer, I am cooking or cleaning. I think that I would feel lazy if I were to only talk on the phone and not do anything else.

To me it depends on the nature of the phone call. If somebody calls me for some important affairs, I will totally concentrate on this call. I worry that I will neglect something crucial if I do something else, which may result in serious outcomes. If the call is between a friend and me in spare time, I will feel more relaxed. In such circumstances, I usually watch TV or surf online while chatting on the phone. And I guess he or she may also do the same things.

Always.I usually browse the website when I'm on the phone, especially the long talk. And sometimes I just got a pen and draw random graphics on the paper. But the when talk is short and important,I just don't do anything and keep my mind on the topic.
