Are you memories in Black and White or Color?

When I think back to the past and really see myself in the moments they are in the colors I remember. I have a friend though, that is the opposite. She sees it all in back and white. I also dream in color, she does not. I tend to wonder why this is. Any thoughts on this? What about you? Black and white, or color?

That is very odd, everything is always in color for me. My memories are all in color, and I remember the outside sounds of some. I sometimes have trouble remembering my dreams but I do know that they are all in color though. My guess would be that there must be some particular way that her brains works that makes her memories and dreams in black and white.

I wonder about what is going on in her brain that is so different from yours and one. It is interesting for sure. I need to do some research on this to find out the differences.

Wow, this is a very interesting question! I actually don't know if I remember things or dream things in colours or not. My memories are usually very abstract, rather than visual. I tend to remember the emotions and feelings more. But sometimes, I fo replay things that I experienced in my mind, and I think those are coloured. For my dreams, I forget them as soon as I get up, so I'm not sure... but I have a feeling that they are coloured.
But it's so cool to have memories and dreams in black and white! It's like watching an old movie.

Thanks, I thought it was interesting as well. I like it when I actually can go to the time and place in my mind of a memory, most often anyway. It is a neat feeling. It does take a lot of work with the mind though because like you, most often they are abstract and deal more with the emotional side.
Too bad about not remembering your dreams. I kept a dream journal for about a year to train my mind to remember them. I think dreams are important tools to the waking world.

Hi, jodylee_04530! You know what? I dream in both colors and not all of the sequences of the dreams I remember when I wake up...but there were instances when I remembered a few streaks of my dream when I was just 9 years old like I went to a place that I never been before...the scenes on this dream was both in black and white in some scenes, in color for some scenes then after waking up I forgot about it after a few days then sometime in my high school, I dreamed of the same dream and most scenes were like colorful so I said why was the dream like that. So I said I might had already been to that place somehow...so it was like a scene I imagined from a pocket book that I had read before. When I reached college and went to a known University here in my country, one of my classmate invited me to their place and there I found out that I was not just imagining. Everything in my dream unfolded and up to this time...this incident remained a mystery!

My dreams are usually in color, but i have had some black and white ones that really stand out. But what i would really love to be able to do is Lucid Dream. I have Lucid Dreamed before but i want to get to where i can do it when i want. Be able to control it. I havent started a dream journal yet but i will. What are your thoughts on Lucid Dreaming?????
