I am very much looking forward to the movie The Road. It is based on the back with the same name. The Road is about a father and son who have survived an unknown apocalypse and must leave their home as they probably won't survive the winter. The movie and book chronicles their journey to find a better place to live. Along the way they see several horrifying events. Anyone else looking forward to the movie? Has anyone read the book?

i havent read the book or anything like it but I think I saw the author interviewed on Oprah and it seems like it would be something that I would really look forward to. It seems to have been a very well written book that has garned some acclaim, so I will hope that it is something that will come out and people will enjoy.

I am contemplating whether or not to read the book or wait for the movie. It will be interesting to see how close the movie will resemble the book.

I joined a book club about a year ago, and The Road was the first book on our list. It wasn't a book I would typically read, but I went into it with an open mind. Shortly after beginning it, I realized that this was a book that I wasn't going to like. The lack of punctuation alone turned me off. I continued reading hoping the story line would draw me in, only to be sadly disappointed. I am curios to see the movie however. I just hope it is not as bland as the book.

I know about the book of the well-known writer Cormac, but I never read it through, just knowing about the story that attracts me. So I'm waiting for the movie edition.
