Hi guys
I have a problem about my pronunciation. English is not my native language. When I speak English, I always put the stresses on the first syllable so sometimes people just can not understand my pronunciation. I want to know how to overcome this and practice to have the correct stress in pronunciation.
thanks.

English is not my native language either. But I think that if I speak slowly and the other person speaks slowly too, we can understand each other. I will always have an accent. I suppose that if one practices, it gets better. But always remember that it is not your language. However you do it, you are doing a great thing.
Take care.

Years ago I met a lovely lady. My husband only spoke Spanish and she only spoke English. They got along fine. The lady said that they spoke Spanglish to each other

Practice...practice...and then practice some more. As someone else already suggested, speaking with someone who speaks English well is helpful and watching movies is an entertaining way to become more comfortable with pronunciation. Don't stress yourself out about it. You'll get better as time goes on.

This can be improved by talking to learned persons who can be patient enough to teach you. You can also watch english movies. Don't worry you are in the way...
