I would loveto see Mr.Stricklend give Hank his proprane business so he can retire and continue being a lady's man follow time! I like to see Bill finally find true love and get married! With Boomhower I like to see him finally have a serious relationship and stop having flings! It would be great to see Bobby and Joseph inally graduate middle school and start high school! My biggest thing I would love to see is Nancy finally convince Dale she really had an affair under his nose for 14 years with John Redcorn! Then I would love to see them tell Joseph dale is not his real dad but that John Redcorn is and explain the whole story! Then I'd like to see Nancy and John Redcorn get together and stay together! Peggy? I'd love to see her realize she is not the perfect woman or housewife! Then realize she is blessed being Hank's wife and mother of Bobby! With Luann and Lucky? I like to see Lucky get a nice job nad be a husband that supports his family! I'd also like Luann to have her own hair salon! This things might not happen but I can dream!

I heard the finale was a big let down to everyone who watched it.

I wasn't disapointed by the finale at all. The first episode in the hour block about the girls was good and not really part of the finale, just laziness on Fox's part.
But the actual final episode worked. King of the Hill was never about big exciting moments, and things never really had definite conclusions. It was all about character and how they reacted to things. Yes Bill and Dale are eccentric and do wacky things sometimes, but that's not what the show was really about. It was Hill family moving through life and Hank dealing with his ideal America and what it had become.
The final episode focused on Bobby and Hank finally having something in common. Bobby joins the meat inspecting team and Hank is proud. We find out that Bobby knows so much about meat because Hank would constantly talk about it, analyze it, it was like they would "play catch" all the time, but it was actually talking about meat, not sports. The climax has Bobby decide after losing the previous meat inspecting event for his team that he will no longer be a part of it, and Hank going anyways. Bobby ends up going to the event, kicking butt on his own thanks to his team being distracted by an opposing team, and in the final event (or you know picture 9th inning, 4th quarter, etc) Bobby saves the day after Hank shows that he believes in him. The final scene is Hank giving Bobby his very own grill and the whole cast of the show appearing for a big BBQ. It didn't resolve everything, but it didn't need to. The only "problems" left are Bill is still single (though I think he always will be and he did find solace in not having family when he gave Bobby permission to use the BBQ sauce he created for his kids) and Dale and his son don't know the truth about John Redcorn. The finale gave peace, closure, and united Hank and Bobby finally. Which has been one of the biggest aspects of the show. Hank constantly being disappointed that Bobby didn't turn out "right".

I think that sounds pretty good. Although I think that Dale and Nancy should stay together. For as crazy as he is, he loves her. I thought it was sweet when she saw how much he loved her and ended her affair. I do think though that joseph should know who his real father is and learn about that side of his culture. Is King of the Hill still going? I catch the reruns during the week but wasn't sure if they still made new episodes or not. I think it would be awesome for Hank to take over Strickland propane.

Just like in real life Joseph should know who his real father is. Fox canceled King of the Hill after last season! I watch som of the reuns, too. Usually on Cartoon Network.

Wow, you did a great job of summing up an excellent finale for the show. I watch it from time to time, but could never have come up with a summary such as this. I would love to see it.
However, there is one thing that wasn't addressed. What happens to Dale once he finds out that he is not really Joseph's father, and when Nancy and John Redcorn get together forever. Will he be happy with just owning the exterminator business? Or is there another woman out there for him somewhere? Someone that won't cheat on him?
Other than that. Every question that could be, you have answered. Great work and an interesting discussion. Hope you have a great day today here on myLot!

LOL, I wish the finale would have been like that, but it wasn't. I saw the actual finale and it was a bit of a let down. There was one episode where these girls made Bobby think they liked him but they were just making him over because they felt he was a loser. Then there was another one where Bobby joined a meat inspection team. I thought a series like King of The Hill would went out with a bang.
