A Cursed Month

Just wanted to vent to you guys...I feel like somebody put a curse on September for my family, and that really includes the last week of August. My laptop broke down the last week in August and my warranty from Dell had just worn out in July...and the thing is five years old so there is no point churning money into it. My parents took my little brother up to college for the first time the last weekend in August and we all miss him...then the following week, I injured my foot and my grandmother died and my mother and I caught colds. I swear I am not making any of this up. The only silver lining is that I got to see all of my family at her wake, funeral and memorial luncheon so I know that would have made her happy. I know it was also a blessing that she lived to 91 and got to see all the grandchildren grow up (my brother is the baby of all the cousins and he's 18).
So then my parents fought for awhile, my birthday dinner was tense, my foot healed (it had just been a contact injury) and of course I sprained it--so yes, that's two foot injuries and a cold in one month. I'm stunned I didn't contract H1N1 at the rate we're going. My grandmother was generous with her inheritance, so I'm buying a new laptop and I hope to have it by the end of next week so I can give back the borrowed one I'm using right now.
So that happened Tuesday and it's better but I'm still nursing it. And yesterday we got the news that my favorite uncle has cancer, not sure if it's metastatic but we're hoping not.
Is it October yet?

That is a terrible month, I am very sorry to hear about your grandmother.
Sometimes it just seems like things just all get thrown at us all at once. Those are the times I just want to lay in bed and wait out the storm.
I hope your feet heal up. I am also very sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope that the cancer has not metasticised (spelling?) I hope it is treatable and that he will be OK.
I hope you have a much better October.

Thank you so much for all of your compassion. My ankle is doing better and we learn about my uncle's prognosis next week. I really appreciate your thoughts, much love and many good wishes to you!

I think I'm a pretty patient person, but we all have rough times where we have to vent and let out our feelings. If this is not true, then you are either insanely lucky or you're not pulling your weight, and you're shutting out all the problems around you and letting your loved ones carry all the burden. Maybe you should rethink the way you live your life if this is the case.
