I don't know if this is implemented nationwide but here in Cebu there are already many of them right now. Has a flagdown rate of 70 and additional P4 per succeeding 200 meters. They said they were supposed to be courteous and different from ordinary taxi drivers because they will trained. What is opinion about this has any already ride this kind of taxi? Tell us your experience if is worth to ride taxis?

Hi kryptoscode! I've also noticed the yellow airport taxis. I haven't tried one though coz aside from the fact that it's very expensive compared to regular metered taxis, our home is just near the airport so I just ride the jeepney :D Anyway, the taxis do look nice, clean and sort of sophisticated or high class. It's good to know that they have well trained drivers. I didn't know about that until now. I guess that's what they offered with their expensive rate. Maybe someday I will try it. :)

Yeah they look good but I think i don't have the luxury to ride it besides i don't always travel a lot and go to an airport very often.I wonder what's inside that taxi is there any extra comfort we can get specially with those high fare they collect.

I know. I noticed though that their car models are the latest (and more high class) compared to the usual Toyota Corolla, so I guess it is more comfortable. But the question is, can this kind of comfort pay for their high rate? I guess the other thing that they also offer is honesty. At least with these taxis, I guess their meter is giving you accurate figures compared to some taxis which bill you without using a meter. I notice however that they only operate in airports :)

hello there!
there's also yellow taxis in airports terminal in Manila, with 70 peso flag down rate also and 4/ per succeeding 200 mtrs...
well, i have experienced riding there and its just fine with me, the driver that we have is courteous and help us find a better way to lessen our bill...huh! but still due to traffic that time and our destination is kinda far...we still get a big taxi fare! and of course their taxi unit is nice and new...
its nice but quite expensive for me...maybe i will still ride in white taxis...hehe coz i still believe that there's still many nice taxi drivers out there...
have a nice day!

Thanks for responding. I think it is better to have them in the airport as well. Because there are a lot of opportunist ordinary taxi driver out there but not all of them. It could makes us feel safe though it is very expensive.

hmmmm....yes there are really some taxi drivers that are opportunist...and i really feel bad about it! i don't know why some drivers think that when a passenger is from the airport, they think that they have lots of money...huh! but anyway, only few are like them...
so if you are just new in the place and alone, i think it will be better to get those taxis that are authorized by the airport...for more safety.

yes, i am from cebu and i see a lot of them now. i still don't have the chance to take a ride in any of them. on courtesy, i think ALL taxi drivers, not just the yellow ones need to exercise this all time. i am taking taxi to and from work and i have had varied experiences with them. true, some of the drivers really need seminars on courtesy but they are the ones that can be classified as exceptions. in general, cebu taxi drivers are courteous.

yeah all should be courteous but sad to say we have to pay more to get what we want. I agree not all of them are very bad some only of them. And also they are taxi's already implemented printed receipts to us passengers I think this is a good development also.

Yes i noticed them already couple of times. I don't really have an idea what's the relevance of this matter but i think it's just for identification purposes. I don't like to ride with this one because as you said it's more expensive than the ordinaries.
