How much would you be willing to pay?

We all have our favorite musical performers. Some of us like country music while others enjoy classical overtures. Yet others are devoted to rock music. The last category would have to be my choice since I am a die hard Bon Jovi fan!! I would move heaven and earth if I could to see them perform. If you were given the opportunity to see your favorite musical performer in person, how much would you be willing to pay for the chance and why? Who would you pick?

If i could i would love to see Neil young play. But the chance of him coming to India is remote and even more remote is the chance of him coming to Hyderabad.Because this place hardly ever attracts singers though they sometimes turn up at Mumbai,Bangalore and Delhi.I would be willing to pay Rs2000 or50U.S Dollars for one concert.

Interesting thoughtd picjim. Neil young has put out some great music for us to enjoy over the years. You say you don't think he would come to India. What kind of musical performers come to your country the most? Geography lesson needed! Please tell me where Hyderabad is! I have never heard of it before.

Hyderabad is in the center of India .It is located in the Deccan plateau south of the Vindhya mountains.Hyderabad is the capital city of the State of Andhra Pradesh. In the past groups like osibisa and Uriah heep did come here.Last year Jethro Tull were in Hyderabad. But groups like Dire Straits and sting came to Bangalore and Mumbai but not Hyderabad.Hence i feel even if Neil Young were to come to India he wouldn't come to Hyderabad because of the itenary.

If i were to be able to have a chance to see a musical performer, i would pick a chinese performer, Jay Chou, and i would pay 1k just to have that chance to hear him play and see him live. He is my idol, i love his rapping and music, and all the talents that he possess.. XD

I'm honestly not sure who I would pick because I do like quite a few singers and groups. I mean I would love to see Gwen Stefani, Black Eyed Peas, Nellie Furtado, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, just to name a few. And it would depend how much money I had to spend to see them because if I had lots of money, I would not care how much I had to spend to see my favorite musicians! But since I have almost no money, that is hard to say.

I would want to go to a country western concert but I not sure who I'd want to see because I like many of the country singers. I know I could not afford a ticket to go so if I went to one it would have to be a gift from a family member or a very good friend.

I see yo are in to country music. That was my late husband's favorite too. In my area of the U.S. a lot of country western performers come here to appear in fairs every year.

That's a really good question...I think tickets for live entertainment are too high in general and are unrealistic in this economy! Have you seen Broadway ticket prices lately? Some of the musicals are $150 per ticket; it's ridiculous. I generally don't like the concert atmosphere anyway, but if I did see someone live it would probably be Paul McCartney...of course I cannot afford his ticket prices! I think tickets to his shows are up to $200. I also love Bon Jovi, though. They're a great band!

i enjoy Paul McCartney's music too. he is such a great songwriter and performer. If only music fans could pick concert prices, then concert tickets could be so much more affordable.

A lot of friends like my age are crazy on the popular stars, no matter how expensive a ticket required, they will buy it to enjoy the fantacy there only if the show involves the stars they love. I am so weird that I will not be addicted to any idol or have any wordship of any starts. I love contry music and classical music both as they could give different feeling on the perception of my life. If you question how much I am willing to pay for the chance, I would say no for a big show as I prefer to enjoy the music alone at home.

Sometimes we can get more fullfillment from listening to music alone than with a big crowd. Thanks for your input.

Maybe heaven and earth was a little extreme. I would certainly pay a dear price to see Bon Jovi though.

I was so lucky to get tickets for Iron maiden when they were on there tour, they are 1 of my favorite bands. But if I could meet 1 artist in person, I would meet one in beatles. Maybe John Lennon. I really like there music and it would be fun to speak to him. I'm not sure how mich I would pay, but I could be really fun to meet him.

I see that you are an iron maiden fan. You would get along with my brother. He is more into their music than I am. Are you also a fan of AC/DC? As for the Beatles, I think we all take a little piece of them with us.
