which is better sony playstation2 or x-box?

I have no experience with the x-box, but when I finally decided to get a gaming system for my kids I did investigate x-box as an option. We went with playstation 2 because it could also play CD's and DVD's as well as the games. I also liked the construction of the box, and the fact that there seemed to be many more kid friendly, non-violent games for the playstation. This could be a misconception, but at the time that was a major deciding factor, and we love the playstation 2.

I've played the playstation 2 for many years (and the original playstation before that). I've only had about a three week experience with x-box while visiting in-laws. X-box seems pretty cool but the controls are all different than playstation so it takes time to get used to it. We're sticking with the Playstation for now.

i love the ps2....its the best.....i hav been playn it for very long time...even i had the ps1....i didn like the controls of xbox,,,,ps2 rocks!!!

i always want a ps! i think it is better and i recommend a ps2 as it is cheap and there are plenty of ps2 games available in market.but you have to wait for some day so you get PS3. i don't have a PS2.but my friend has one! i played my favorite hitman blood money and it is awesome.i want to but a play station but don't have enough money.can you give me the price details of both ps2 and ps3 and PS3 got released? i heard it will release in 2007? i love the graphics of PS2 and it is cool.what a kind of invention!.heard PS3 has support to Blue ray disk!

for me it's playstation2. because that's the only system that has final fantasy games.
