I would add one more to your list - Integrity. Have values and follow them. Be honest and fair with everyone.

I think you picked three really great qualities. But they are not only good for today's world, they have always been necessary for success. I think that so many people fail today because they don't have these qualities. You also need perseverance, and the optimism to overcome setbacks without getting discouraged, and personal responsibility to accept the consequences of the risks you take. Today too many people look to the government to bail them out every time they get stuck, instead of chalking up their losses to experience and trying harder next time.

Yes, these are certainly good important qualities that one must have to be successful. Life is certainly a challenge. There are always obstacles and the moment we face them, we should have the following qualities to overcome each challenge so as to reach our goal.

First, I think you need to be flexible. You never know what other paths will eventually lead you to your dream career, and you never know if suddenly you're going to want to change your direction in life. Second, you need to be optimistic. Running yourself down each time an employer doesn't call you back or each time you're short on cash will only make things so much worse. Last, you have to be determined. Sometimes you've got to be willing to do the leg-work and really be meticulous. That's what will make you stand out to employers.

Focus, smartwork and perseverance are the keys for success.
